Their team was very gracious and even helped a widowed neighbor with some yardwork on her side of my fence by moving a 6' x 3' trellis that was against my old fence and some potted plants that were there too. They did that without any charge and as a courtesy to my elderly, cancer-ridden neighbor!!! The fencing was erected professionally and aligned perfectly with existing fences that they had delivered 5 years earlier. The match was so good that you would never know that the fences were 5 years different in age. They even straightened the old fence that was tilted from being hit by a car in my driveway three years earlier. Again, at no charge. The job was a little tougher than they expected and the job ran about 2 1/2 days. Again, no additional charge. Anyone who uses another fence company should be declared "legally stupid". This company has integrity AND humanity. I am sure that's why they have been in business with the same family ownership since 1973. I met the "next generation" and he cared even as much as Gene Dente, the patriarch of the family and original owner.

I'll change my review if they are able to make this right, but so far I am incredibly dissatisfied with both the workmanship and the customer service. 1st edit: I decided to email and was called back almost immediately by Jay. He apologized up and down for no one returning my calls. So don't bother calling because your message will not be relayed to the right people...just email. I will update again when my fence issue is fixed, which he assures is an easy fix and will be done this week. 2nd edit: Issue was addressed by a crew in my area the next day. Apparently the soil may settle around the posts soon after installation. They straightened the posts and added gravel in the holes to make them secure again. I am assured that this is typically not an ongoing issue. Time will tell, but for now, I am satisfied.

Why 5 stars ? From the moment Kevin the sales guy from Charles came to my house it was nothing but…read moreprofessional, he measured the property spoke with me about my ideas and gave his input. He then sat in his work truck and drew out a complete detailed estimate including how many sections and posts ect would need to be included. They also worked with me on the price since i had already gotten several other estimates on paper. I changed my mind a few times on what I wanted and Kevin worked with me and took his time to change the estimates and drawings. As for the install , they showed up on time with everything they needed , a complete crew to do the job. I spoke to the workers and made sure everything was as I wanted, they listened and gave feedback and didn't mind me watching the project go up. In conversation it seems most of the installers have several years experience installing fences and or with Carls. They also did a great job cleaning up my property when they were complete. I am going to add to my project in the future , and my neighbor liked the finished project so much he is replacing his fence too.
