I own 3 acres south of Nebraska City that includes many 100 year+ bur oaks and many other trees. This property is not my primary residence. Recent storm damage knocked down many large limbs. Also all the tees needed pruning and there were several large brush piles that needed to be removed. I called Brad and he was able to get to the site quickly. He walked the property with me on the phone and detailed the work required. We agreed to a price and he actually started the work that day. I was not able to get down there until a few days later. When I saw the amount of work he had done I was very pleased. He had removed the downed limbs, taken out two large trees, removed all the brush piles, removed the dead limbs from many trees and removed the low growth sucker limbs from all my trees. Lumber Jack did a very nice job of trimming the trees. I was very pleased with that work they did for me, but I am NOT AT ALL PLEASED with what they left behind after cutting down a huge locust tree. There were huge roots visible on top of the ground that they left after grinding the stump. My yard was nothing to be proud of when Lumber Jack started, but they left behind huge holes that I have to repair as I begin working to get the yard into the shape I want it. I'm not sure if he cut corners because he bid the job too low (he told me he did), but that's his problem not mine. They work they do is good, but I recommend making sure they will do everything you expect. I'm a 70 year old woman, digging up approximately 6-8 inch diameter roots and filling holes with dirt to get the grass growing is not something I can easily do myself. read more

The Lumber Jack Company did an awesome job. They were there when they said they would be, went above and beyond, and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left.
