By first class, I mean tremendous attention to detail in every aspect of both service and food. It felt like I was a guest in their home. You'll know what I mean after you visit. As mentioned in an earlier review, they have been in business 20 years. They being husband and wife. We never saw him, but my wife spotted a man in the kitchen and asked her. They make everything on the menu themselves - right down to the table bread. The food was absolutely superb and the presentation was exceptional. We had made a reservation because I learned about the place on Yelp and knew it was small. On the day we visited, it was quiet with only three tables (another cool aspect about a quiet highly differentiated evening) and the one of the couples we spoke with also heard about this place on Yelp. When we asked the owner, she said she didn't really know anything about Yelp until recently when they sent her some mail. This was a fantastic dinner and evening. I would love to come back soon!

The restaurant is conveniently located near tourist areas, and has a cozy, traditional atmosphere. There was a crackling fire in the fireplace, and lots of traditional woodwork. It was decorated for Christmas, which was nice. The staff was efficient and friendly. We ordered a bottle of white wine to go along with our traditional cheese fondue and were a little disappointed in receiving an old bottle of white wine that tasted off. After the server had the bar tender try the wine, they agreed it was old and provided us with a new/fresh bottle. The cheese fondue was served at the table (as you'd expect) with fresh bread and other accompaniments. The cheese fondue was good (what's not to love about cheese fondue, right?) but to be honest, I've had better. Typically one can taste a few different cheeses (emmenthaler, gruyere). This fondue, while fine, seemed a bit basic/standard for a restaurant that specializes in fondue. Overall a good experience, and I'd certainly recommend the place to others. Perhaps the other types of fondue offer a bit more complexity than the one we ordered.

It comes with fries and salad and if you run out they'll bring you more, free of charge. We ordered the house red which was a wonderful wine at a great price. The staff was very attentive. Parking is very close to the restaurant, but we didn't have to park as we stayed at a hotel across the street. I would have given them 5 stars if they had done a fondue for dessert, there's no better dessert at a fondue restaurant than a chocolate fondue!

After being seated by one person, menus brought by a second person and water delivered by a third person we had no idea who our waiter/waitress was! They didn't seem to know either as no one came to take our order for an uncomfortable amount of time. We flagged down our first staff member and she took our order. After the meal was delivered by a fourth (!) waiter we were never approached again. No questions about needing anything or for more drinks. We finished our meal, each used the facilities and when we were all together again at the table no one had still been approached by staff. The restaurant was about 1/2 to maybe 3/4 full, there was lots of staff, but they would disappear to the point where none could be seen. We ended up wanting to leave to get to another place on time so we asked for our bill at the bar. I kindly and calmly told all of this to the young manager as we left as true constructive criticism which he thanked me for. The ironic part was the food was good!
