I have total peace of mind when he is there, the staff and owner Pascale are all so caring, attentive, engaging and experienced. If I've ever had a question or concern they have addressed it in a timely manner. They went above and beyond recently when my dog ate a little mushroom he found outside. They caught him in the act, rushed him to the vet, brought a sample to make sure it wasn't anything harmful, and all at their expense. He was totally fine, and I can't express how grateful I was that they took it so seriously and were swift with their response. When I say total peace of mind, I mean it. I can't recommend this place enough! Oh, and it's super convenient for pick up and drop off in West Seattle. Just an all around great place.

Several times after attending daycare, my dog came home with issues that later turned into infections. Each time required a vet visit that cost us over $600. While I understand that things can happen in group-care environments, having this happen several times was alarming. What ultimately made the decision for us, though, was the staff interaction. On one pickup, an older woman who helped me was shockingly rude. When she brought my dog out, she handled him in a way that made me extremely uncomfortable: raising her voice, tugging harshly on his collar, and giving commands he was never trained to understand. Watching him shrink back and look terrified broke my heart. Over time, he began coming home withdrawn, low-energy, sick and just not his happy self. Almost every visit left us feeling uneasy, and it eventually became clear that this environment simply wasn't right for him or any dog. A former staff member who later met my partner even shared that the workplace was full of animosity and overworked employees, which unfortunately aligned with what we had observed. We've since switched to Rover as needed and have had a completely different experience: much happier dog, much better communication, and far less stress for everyone involved. There are countless options here in Seattle! I truly wish our experience at Metro Dog had been better, but for us it was consistently unpleasant. If you value your dog's comfort and emotional wellbeing, I'd recommend exploring other options.

Beyond his personal professionalism, care and love for our two nuggets, he provides an in-depth training of any team member entrusted with their care. Pupper's has been a wonderful solution that once again allows us to leave our home. Oscar loves his Pupper's friends and drags me all the way down the ramp to get there - he doesn't even look at me when they take him back! Diesel has a trauma history that makes him leash reactive and easily overstimulated. The first night, he had to stay behind a barrier and barked the whole time. I told Julie I didn't think we could come back but she encouraged me to stick it out and I'm so glad we did. We're almost done with basic obedience and it's been a game changer. Diesel can sit in the main room now and participate in the off leash playtime without problems. He has amazing recall and I've enjoyed working with him to grow our bond and enrich his life. I'm hoping to take the intermediate and advanced classes in the future to keep working on Diesel. I'm so glad I was referred to SAS. We'd tried other trainers who didn't actually let us practice with the dogs during the session, just talked at us. As a hands on learner, I appreciate that Julie has us all practice together and walks around, giving feedback. It's like I have a different dog now.

Many places are currently doing drop-off only because of COVID, and this was a deal breaker for us because our puppy is very shy around new people, especially if they try to handle her. This group has been perfect (limited to 10 people currently and everyone must wear a mask and socially distance) - she's gotten exposed to more new people and gotten some valuable playtime with puppies having similar levels of immunity. She's really come out of her shell and I can't thank Sound Animals enough for this!!
