The environment and personnel working here are very polite and nice. With that said I am only reviewing the quality of a cut. Today (Monday) I walked in to get a medium fade. As you can see a fade does not exists here. i did tip because I'm nice and she was very pleasant. But I ended up having to go home and try to fix it with my own clippers and actually try to fade the entire haircut... while it was a good laugh and lots of people got a kick out of it, I recommend teaching staff to fade from the zero and not be afraid to use a half guard or one. Unless you only want a high and tight or whatever the barber wants to cut your hair like, I wouldn't come here. I came into town and a friend recommended lunas and I asked for a medium with just a clean up on top. Maybe my fault for not saying it in Spanish because as soon as I heard the clippers (not scissors) running across the top of my head I knew I was in trouble. I quickly turned around and realized the barber was giving me a haircut like a brand new Marine. It would be one thing if I asked for that, but I just wanted the loose ends cleaned up a bit. The search for a good barber shop in Camp Lejeune has taken me some time. I tried Luna's on a recommendation from a friend. I will only put one qualification on the four star rating...be prepared to wait. The barbers here take their time to ensure a good cut, the result is significant wait times. However, if you hit them on a weekday you will probably get in and out pretty quickly. The place is decorated with old-school barber stuff, and uses old timey barber chairs. They also sell double edge razors and shaving sets. However, the only shaves they offer are around neck and ears. They will not do face shave. For razor shaves only one of the barbers has a straight razor, the rest use gillette fusion style. On the plus side, they use pre-shave oil and hot lather. The one thing I can say is that I have never walked out of there unhappy with a haircut. I highly recommend Luna's, but if it is on the weekend or you are in a hurry, my recommendation would be to try another place. read more

Very poor service... I waited nearly two hours, as Marines walked in and skipped past me. There was no "waiting" system, an honor system. Get tickets. The haircut was poor too, I asked for a comb over and my barber runs an inch wide line through my head, and messes up my sides and compensates by giving me a high fade. I asked for a low... Money. I don't even see where prices are posted, just tons of badges or emblems from people or groups they apparently serviced. Not everyone has cash on hand, there are phone apps to take debit and credit cards. Easy. Yet, they just want to rake in revenue with an ATM machine. Cool. All in all, an amateur does a better cut, for cheaper, better technology, service, and overall experience. Wouldn't recommend this place for anyone. read more

This is the best barbershop in Jacksonville. There's only one barber there who didn't do my haircut perfect like the other barbers, but it was still way better than anywhere else in town. Being the best barber in town comes at a price though. They have a small location, few barbers, and a heavy, steady flow of customers. There's also no systematic line to wait for a barber. I've waited for a haircut for almost a hour on multiple occasions because there's absolutely no order to who gets a haircut. Unless you can remember 20 people that came in after you, you'll be skipped several times before you get your haircut. Even if you're just 5th in line then expect to wait over 30 minutes. read more

I was down visiting my wife and decided to stop by Luna's after driving around and also searching local websites looking for that one great barbershop. Well folks I have found it. I walked in and the place looked great and I was greeted by a gentleman named Mike. He really is a true barber in the sense that he can give a military haircut with a razor finish. This is probably the best haircut that I have received in a number of years. If you need a good quality cut for a great price, check this place out. They take extra care of their equipment. If the place is busy and the line is long, there is a big tv playing sports or a popular, recent movie for entertainment. Lejeune is littered with below average quick in and out haircuts . It's hard to find a good barbershop with so many choices but this place stands out. If you are into the art of manliness modern gentleman style this place is the place to go. Excellent old school shaving supplies and cheaper than online such as amazon. Also the search for a good pomade can be hard but they have a good supply of pomades to try and cheap better then blindly buying off the internet and not knowing what your gunna get . Now if your tired of the regular high and tight want to try something new they will help you mold your hair into something great I promise. Went here once and it was great, the second time didn't go so well. Evidently to them the words "a high fade on the back and sides and take 1/4 inch off the top please" means "just shave my entire head and make me look like a moron". I'm basing my experience on the woman who cut my hair last night, last chair on the right. I called ahead and spoke to someone who said they do a straight edge razor. When I went in, the barber who was available said she could do it. At best, she hasn't mastered English, at worst, she lied. I asked for a medium fade with about half an inch off the top. I got the medium fade, but was infuriated when she started using a 'normal' razor. My head has several scratches all over the area she used the razor on. When she was finished doing the 'fade' she seemed to want to skip cutting anything off the top. This again is where there the language barrier comes into play. I kept insisting she cut half an inch off and she kept responding "half" as in, cut my hair to half its length. Uh, NO. After a third time I demonstrated with my thumb and pointer finger how long I was referring and she still cut more than I clearly showed her. The hours are good, and I may consider giving other barbers here a chance, but only if the place I will otherwise go to is already closed. Even still, it appears to be the type of place that focuses on quantity instead of quality. read more
