I've used Lusk Tree Services for a few years now. From the moment I called for an estimate to this evening when the job was completed - the entire experience was fabulous! Tyler reviewed what needed to be done and agreed with me on almost everything except one tree. He said, No. We're not cutting it down - we're going to prune it, rebalance it and then feed it. Well, I had to agree with that approach. Saving a tree is a good thing. This morning, the crew arrived ready to work. They reviewed what needed to be done and got to it. There was no pussyfooting around with these folks. After the first crew completed the cutting that needed to be done, led by Steven, the second crew arrived, led by Troy. Both were just as dedicated to execute their tasks in the most responsible and professional manner. They used the required safety gear and they spoke to one another respectfully - with courtesy and consideration. It was quite impressive. Now anytime there's tree work, there's cool equipment and climbing. Which everyone wants to see so, attached are some photos of these fine gentlemen at work. I've used Lusk tree service at my work and now at home. They are courteous, provide accurate quotes and most importantly do beautiful work. We have a pecan tree in our backyard that is over 100 years old and needed substantial pruning. A team of three men came today to prune the tree and it remains the beauty it was before pruning. David Lusk quoted us a four hour job which only took three! His was also the best quote by far in terms of the man-hours and the shape of the tree when the job was done. Upon our initial evaluation we received a good quote, and proceeded to complete the contract. After waiting a few weeks we contacted them asking if they could give us an estimate of when they would be out to remove a large dead tree, and then said it would be another 4-6 weeks. TWO MONTHS later they say they're sending someone out to see if they can fit the machinery in our back yard...the foreman shows up and says they cannot do the job because it won't fit (even though we know how large the equipment is, and the space on either side of our house to get it back there). If there had been questions about whether the machinery could fit they should've sent someone sooner, so that we didn't have to wait three months with a dead, potentially dangerous tree in our backyard. Upon speaking with the own he implied that it wasn't actually an issue with the machinery fitting, but with how dead the tree and that it wasn't cost effective for them to remove the tree with what they had quoted us. Very unprofessional, and very rude over the phone. The next week the tree fell and took out a section of our neighbor's fence (luckily it didn't land on their house). We submitted a review to the better business bureau and only then did we hear from the owner again, asking us how we could 'work this out' so that we'd remove our complaint. When we told him that there was nothing that could be done at that point, he again became rude and unprofessional. read more
