But Sparkle does not charge by the hour but with a flat rate. So I paid a discounted price of $155 for what they call a standard cleaning. And believe me it was very standard. Anything they did I could've done myself. And they even missed some things like taking out my garbage cans. Plus, they didn't do some of the things listed, such as washing the cans inside and out. Three women came in and cleaned this standard cleaning and took 45 minutes. It was basically the mindset of the owner of how fast can we get a house cleaned for the most money. My major problem was the price I paid for the job that was done. The standard cleaning was very, very very basic and didn't include things I would've done if I was cleaning my own bathroom. And I'm not a good cleaner. I would not hire them again at all or recommend them.

We scheduled for a Tuesday and that day they contacted me and said they were running behind and asked to reschedule. They showed up the following time and did a pretty good job. It's hard to tell, because our house started out pretty clean. The next appointment was scheduled after our baby was born. We scheduled and prepared for an appointment (picking up things and making sure the house can be deep cleaned without stuff in the way). They were scheduled to arrive in the afternoon. The afternoon came and went and they didn't arrive. I messaged them and they said they got a new scheduling system and our appointment got lost. We rescheduled again and they offered to help pick up for the deep clean. They were supposed to come Tuesday afternoon. I prepared the house again while the baby napped and around 2:30 pm, they texted me asking to come Thursday morning, because they were running behind. They said they were down one team because of a death in the family. Mornings don't work, because I need time to prepare for them to come. They said they'd come Thursday afternoon. On Thursday, I asked around noon what time they should arrive. They said around 2:30. At 3:30, I texted asking if they were still coming. They arrived around 3:45. They did the basic cleaning, but I had to ask for them to do things I thought were included in the deep clean. Eventually the gal asked if this was supposed to be a deep clean. They thought it was a normal cleaning. They hadn't been informed ahead of time and it was obviously the end of their day and they were trying to leave. This time I was much less impressed. They were really respectful of my space with my baby, because I couldn't really get out of their way. They also wore masks upon my request, which I appreciated. But, they left messes throughout the house. Where they picked up rugs to mop, they didn't put them back down. They didn't clean behind the faucet in the kitchen. They didn't sweep, just vacuumed the hard floors and didn't empty the vacuum of the previous house's mess first. The kicker was that the kitchen sink wasn't cleaned at all and I'd made sure it was empty of dishes and ready to be cleaned. I think it was actually dirtier after, from them cleaning rags or something in there. Windows and blinds didn't get cleaned, and several other deep clean items were missed. Overall, it seems like they don't manage their people or time well, and don't have much respect for the amount of effort people go to to prepare for them to come. I'm not complaining about having to clean my house by any means, but I built my schedule around them 5 days total and 3 of those days were wasted. I'm not sure I even want them to come finish the job, because the amount of effort I had to put in was just frustrating. I don't trust that they'll do what they say they're going to do when they say they're going to do it.

The owner was kind in her communication and that is the best thing I can say.

But they have since decided they don't want to honor this, so Here is the Story. I Hired them to do a "Deep Clean" of my late Grandfathers home after he passed so we could sell the home. Invoice clearly states what is expected. They set a date, I paid and all seemed well. Date of Cleaning came, they were 2 hours late - Got lost? Then had to leave and come back in another 2 days to finish up ( was not told why, they just said need more time). They came back, spend 4 hours and said hey were done. I came to look at the property and found rubbish still on the ground, Base Boards not touched, Cabinets not wiped out and Cobwebs on the walls and Corners. ( They did do a great job on the 1 Fireplace I asked them to clean ) Informed them of my displeasure, and This is when Dasha ( I assume head cleaner reached out and asked for another try) I was hesitant to let them out a 3rd time but after speaking with Dasha, I decided to let them try one more time. Dasha arrived and I had mentioned I wanted the carpets shampooed, but it was not on the invoice and she said she could do that as an apology for all the trouble. once again I am told its done ( but there was one corner of the master bedroom she could not reach as she didn't have an extension cord and the home was 2 prong. :| So I arrive, there were still sticky spots on the floor, baseboards in some of the rooms looked better, but still had dust on Ceiling fans, Cabinets were not wiped out and Still had cobwebs on the wall. ( specifically in the Dining room a big one just on the wall at Eye level ) not like they missed a Corner but didn't wipe down the walls. and It looks like they may have damaged a Screen door. All of these things I have been asking them to do are part of the invoice I was provided. Spoke with Dasha, who then said She did her best and that if more time is needed it would normally be an upcharge ( I was never offered this in the 3 times they were out) and the invoice is more of a "We will try and get to these but if we run out of time may not" I said that's not what I read, At this point I say I would like a Full refund, and she states well they can refund minus the cost of expenses. We talked thru that. and it would end up being $66 refund of the $345. thats less than what was offered the first time I express my displeasure. At this point I said I would like 90% of it refunded, and Dasha switches to I need to stop communicating with her as she is a Woman and I am a Man ...? ok, They did offered to give me a "Refund" if I removed my review ( Google,Facebook, Angies list, and BBB) The Form they wanted me to sign was a bit vague, and Before I would take down my reviews I wanted it to be clear that they would be giving me a Full refund or at least the amount they would be refunding. At this point they said " We do not sign agreements with customers. We appreciate the honest reviews and your concern with removing them. " and I have not got anything back from them since. So I will be taking them to small claims court due to services not provided.
