Moving is always stressful, but this time a major time and energy consumer was totally eliminated for me when my home was thoroughly deep-cleaned before move-in day, not by me, but by a cheerful team of trained cleaners from LUX. I chose LUX because my entire home had just been painted, and though the painters did a pretty good cleanup, fine sanding dust is extremely hard to get rid of and I knew the reputation this company has for making a home comfortable for anyone who suffers from a dust allergy. Jessica, the personable team leader, went through every room, closet, cabinet and appliance with me, and stated in detail the extent and depth of the cleaning service her team could, and would, provide. Not a thing was missed in their day-long cleaning. Not least, the team of three arrived on the dot of 9 AM bringing environmentally sensitive supplies and all the best equipment required to clean my home from top to bottom, and, they finished the job on time, everything done perfectly. AMAZING. Working with LUX for a pre-move-in clean was the best choice I made in connection with our recent move (except perhaps the house itself!). We were about to move our stuff into our new house, and our cleaning plans got scuttled because of some renovation timing changes. I called LUX at 11:30pm on Monday night to attempt to book a move-in cleaning service for Wednesday. Al, one of the owners, personally returned my call within 10 hours, came and met me at the property, and gave me a fantastic price for 16 labour hours of two women who were fanatical about clean. Boundless energy and attention to detail. Things even a clean freak like me would not think to clean--they took apart and washed the glass on the light fixtures, scrubbed dirt off light switches and closet doors, de-cobwebbed the basement, washed out all drawers and closets, cleaned baseboards and washed the trim. They even scrubbed the TOPS of the cabinets in the kitchen. I hope that we'll start working with them on a regular basis. read more

Lux is fantastic. Over the years my family has used a number of cleaning services and individuals; some of them are great, but most of them are ok to mediocre. I was initially somewhat concerned that because they don't necessarily schedule the same team members each time; I was worried that there could be inconsistency in the services provided, but this has not been the case. They do an amazing, consistent job each time. This is saying a lot bc we just moved into town a few months ago and had a new baby, and our house is a complete mess, with stuff still coming out if boxes. In addition they are careful to not let the cat and dog out, which has happened to us in th past with a different cleaning service. read more

Over my time with them I have had work done on my home, they are flexible and work around my individual needs. Before moving I had an excellent women who was very accommodating to weekly needs and was nervous to hire a service. The service Lux provides me has quieted all my fears. They have taken on special projects for me with an attention to detail that is equal or surpasses my own. We recently completed a whole house renovation project and there was dust in every corner and cupboard. LUX provided a team of cleaners, who were punctual, professional, and did an amazing job of cleaning the house from top to bottom. I loved that they deep cleaned the kitchen! They dusted out every cupboard, cleaned counters, and polished the stainless steel appliances until they shined! Olivia, Megan and Stephanie arrived to clean my condo after a 7 week renovation. These 3 young women were amazing. Not only were they pleasant to have around, they were also experienced and professional cleaners. Yes, the service is expensive, but it is worth every penny. Because the cleaning of all cabinets was done so well, i could move dishes etc back with any hesitation. I call myself a crazy clean kinda person and i could not find fault with their work. In 2 situations where my apartment was in a disastrous state and time was not something I had much of, I employed a cleaning service. I've used two other services before. Lux's cleaning products are not intrusive or offensive, their staff friendly&professional, and they do a great job while being communicative. Their services are worth purchasing. Just had my condo cleaned post renovation... The team was punctual, professional and meticulous. They even made me aware of little defects in my lacquered cabinets that my contractor overlooked.
