I'm not really a fan of The Gap, but this outlet is a fine store. It's just like any other outlet. The deals and discounts are comparable to those at other Gap Outlets (such as the one in Jersey Gardens). Perhaps the space at this Newark location is bit smaller than other Outlets, but it's in no way a cramped store. At least, that's what I thought when I peeped it out. Also, last time I was there, I thought that the staff kept the store well maintained. If you work in the area or normally shop along Broad and Market, you may find a good deal here.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I supported this Newark-based business through a business crawl organized by another minority woman-owned organization, specifically to uplift and invest in Newark businesses like this. But being minority- and woman-owned does not excuse taking someone's money, failing to deliver, and then ghosting your customer. She helped me find a size in the back from shoes and price check some apparel that I found on the clearance rack. I needed a fitting room and a younger male employee caught my attention from across the store and came over to help me in a timely manner. Even the security guard was nice and welcoming. The store was clean and well stocked. Check out moved quickly as they had four employees on the register. Overall, I found some really good sales and left with some great stuff.
