This place is ridiculous I came around 5 pm with 8 people he wouldn't seat us together so the other people that we came with left because they are uncomfortable that they were sitting alone. Not to mention the place was empty so it wasn't like we were inconveniencing them in any way everyone wanted to order something so we were bringing them more business. Then he turns off the lights and I asked nicely if we can keep it on because we wanted to see each other and stay awake while smoking our Shishas. The guy looked at me and said no and it's going to get even more darker as if this is a strip club. Best hookah bar in Philadelphia and honestly probably the best I've ever been to in the US. Coming from the Middle East it's hard to find a place to smoke hookah that's...normal. They're all either packed with college kids getting drunk or super loud. A lot of times hookah doesn't meet the expectation. This place is probably doing great because of the owner. I only have come here to buy tobacco and hookah supplies I live in Rittenhouse Sq so If you take the train it will take you 20 Min to get there but trust me, it is worthy. If you're driving theres always a spot to park . The prices are really good, the staff is always friendly. The first time I went there it was not even open and they happened to be arranging furniture, so the guy politely told me they were close, however I asked him If I could buy some tobacco and he gladly helped! Great selection of tobacco, coals and supplies for your hookah! the prices are really nice and this is my place to go. The last time I was there, I had a question a about a flavor and the guy was really honest and provide very insightful recommendations! I have never stayed and smoke there but it seems quite nice. Clean place, hookah ok... But the owner is very unwelcoming. I've been there several times. Although the lounge is usually empty (for a reason), he advises us to sit at the worst location in the lounge. When you ask for extra charcoals, the owner's eyes almost popes out, just like if the charcoals cost is extremely high. My advice don't go to this place. read more

Cool and warm place for a good authentic hookah and a variety of drinks. They also have great Turkish coffee and tea. The guys that works there and I believe being the owner was super nice with us and very welcoming. He kept checking on us and makings sure we were enjoying our hookah. read more

Had a great time here last night. Very clean place: I like that its not covered wall-to-wall in smoke-filled rugs. Comfortable couches, and good crowd for a Saturday night. The hookahs themselves seemed well kept too, and the tobacco we ordered ran very smoothly through them. No alcohol served, but my friends enjoyed the coffees they ordered. The staff was very friendly - a man who appeared to be the owner explained to me and my friends what the best-selling brands and flavors of tobacco were (try the orange mint!), which I found extremely helpful, and was on a level of care that doesn't occur in most hookah lounges. The two men working were also more attentive to our coals than any hookah lounge I've been to in Philly. I hope in the warmer months he thinks of a way to put some outdoor seating on the sidewalk - it would be a great addition! Bottom line: definitely will return, and definitely recommend. read more

This place is the chick-fil-a of hookah spots. Best customer service in the business. Every time I come here the owner greets me and makes me feel at home. I buy my shisha and coals at this place and have been coming here regularly ever since I moved to Philly. I don't recommend any other place! If you are in the area or even if you are a few miles away like me get your supplies at this place or sit down and enjoy the atmosphere at Luxor. Luxor is the best hookah lounge in philly. The crowd is a variety of different people which makes this place great. You'll see college students just relaxing after class on their laptops to people in suits unwinding their day, or a group of friends laughing and playing cards. Clearly everyone is welcomed cause the staff is so friendly. It's definitely a chill nice hangout place. I can't think of any reason why anyone wouldn't like this place. The frozen mouthpieces are amazing, loved the blue and citrus mists. The owner is super chill, then environment was comfortable and very clean, I would go out of my way to return to this place. He gave great suggestions, and served the BEST mint tea I've ever had (Egyptian mint, fresh he said, though not full leaves because it's out of season). Great music, great atmosphere. I wish they had a larger dessert menu but I can't say a bad thing about this place, only wish he had a shop in my home city.
