Presentation on everything was great. Then began the show. It was a Murder Mystery Theater. The actors actually interacted with the audience considerably. The acting was acceptable all things considered. Over all the production was a little on the drawn out side, every bit of 2 hours or more from the time we got there. But I would definitely do it again, and probably will fairly soon. It was actually pretty fun and very entertaining.

The tiles, the massive windows, the tub upstairs-- you'll know it when you see it, and the pillars (of course)-- this place oozes southern charm and there's no denying it. On top of all that, the couple that owns it are the nicest people you'll ever meet and they know how to throw a beautiful event. Since my first visit, I've returned for an event and a local maker's market. Both events were well organized and well executed. Even better, the love that's shown here for local entrepreneurs and small businesses is incredible. It was bought about four years ago by Dave & Heather and reopened as an event venue. Heather brings decades of event experience to the table and Dave delivers loads of good old fashioned "know how". They are an awesome couple whose smiles light up the house! The home has original tile floors, high ceilings and a beautiful staircase. The large Southern style porch is anchored by gorgeous pillars, hence the name! Be sure to check out the stained glass located throughout the place, both up and downstairs. The big claw foot tubs tempt me to lease out the place for the evening just to enjoy a relaxing soak. (I don't think you can lease it for a bath, but a girl can dream can't she?) Upstairs is a gentlemen's lounge for the groomsmen to hang out in and there is a separate area for the bridal party. The brides room has a huge full length mirror, closets and private bath area. It also features plenty of comfy seating. What a lovely place to get married or host a party. The kitchen is modern and updated, ready for caterers. There are so many interesting rooms to stage various things from live entertainment to food. This one is a true Southern Belle filled with charm and ready to host your major life events. I am looking forward to attending my first Market Day. They are held once a month, on a Sunday and have at least 50 vendors including organic produce, dog treats and crafts.
