The maintenance crew is very good about getting in to fix things of they break or do painting etc. as needed. I have a bird and when they painted a bit in the bathroom they put a fan in to blow the fumes out the window so he would be safer, I thought that was great of them! Plenty of dumpsters and some really friendly neighbors in my building. Generally quiet and I was able to get a lot of work done. Close to shops, food and gas- and located on an emergency snow rout which is nice in the winter.

I wish I could give a zero star review. Three weeks have gone by without a response to my last…read moreemail regarding the estimate from DB Homes. I wish I could say that it was an honest mistake on your part; however, this is typical of the customer service I've come to expect from DB Homes. We have called your Johnstown, PA office numerous times with the same excuse given to us from the receptionist..."Chad and Keith are both busy right now. I can give them a message you called." Weeks would go by without a callback or a response to our email. We continued to try to contact Chad or Keith for information regarding the $300,000+ house we wanted to build with DB Homes. We had two property owners waiting for our word to sell us their properties. We told them for weeks that we were waiting to hear from DB Homes regarding questions we had about our estimate. We never heard back from Chad or Keith. It is with sincere sorrow and deep disappointment that we have to inform you we are no longer interested in any type of business with DB Homes. Our experience with your company has been nothing but a disappointment and frankly pathetic experience with a sales team that is far too busy for our business. We have posted our review on Yelp. We have informed everyone we know to never use DB Homes.

VERY professional. DB is the 3rd place we've gone to this year for a price quote on 2 homes…read morew/garages. Everyone wants to order their house asap - but DB knows (through experience) how people can change their mind about what they THINK they want -vs- what they REALLY want in their home. So DB does not rush through the ordering process, which saves a lot of headaches down the road once construction has started. After we meet with them, our price quotes come within a week - then we review the quote and make any necessary changes, then schedule an appointment with them to make those changes (or we can email it to them). Then we get our new quote in a week. (and there's no mistakes - everything we said we wanted was quoted accurately!). The 1st place we went to - they were NOT professional - took forever to get our quotes and when we did there were TONS of mistakes even though I gave them paper copies, photos, and emails of what we needed to order, then it took over a month before I'd hear ANYTHING from them - after 4 months of inaccurate quotes and hassles, we gave up on Hemminger Homes and went to somewhere else. The 2nd place we went to, Mt. View Homes, promised we would have our price quote in a week........and that was 4 weeks ago, and they haven't even bothered trying to contact us at all.......so we contacted DB Homes. DB Homes had me email them our floor plans prior to our 1st appointment (our appointment was the same week we initially called them), and when we met with them for the 1st time, they gave us price quote estimates based on our floor plans that we sent them - VERY IMPRESSIVE. AND, they were extremely understanding and nice to our 4 year old granddaughter who was with us for hours as we went through our options for the homes........Keith even went to the Disney Channel and asked her what she would like to watch. They also treated her to paper/pens, pretzels, cookies, crackers, candy, and even some toys!

She is all out for money with her little odd-end jobs that are all about getting paid and she is a very rude person. We just got a rental in August and hired them then to clean the rental before we even moved in. That should have been so easy!! No furniture or anything! Oh my god!!! Could I have done a million times better of a job than this junk! The dishwasher was left uncleaned, the stove, the refrigerator, the dust on the baseboards, the windows. There was even some type of syrup on one part of the kitchen floor that was stuck on there and I was watching for them to get that. The idiots leave it. I called and told her what a horrible job and that I have taken photos of everything that was left with dates on them. She said she would have them come back and do more work. So they come back and the only additional things that were done were the dishwasher and stove. Again, not even a good job of cleaning those. She calls later that day and tells me she came by and took photos now as well and that it looked great in her opinion. She then proceeds to argue that we now got 2 hours free and should be happy. How laughable. They didn't even do their jobs right in the first place but we get 2 hours free? Trust me, I know this woman owner a little bit personally and she is big into making up all kinds of businesses she knows nothing about and being a get-rich-quick schemer. This had to be the most awful service I've ever gotten.

We waited several months. Then they came out again and again said they would repair it. After another several months, still nothing. Make contact again, after numerous phone calls, texts, emails. Now they days they sent a quote. First, they never sent anything. Second, they want me to pay again to fix their bad job. They claim the biggest hole was from a groundhog. They asked me to put fencing around my shed. I did. Later, they said that I knew about the groundhog because of the fencing. I have dealt with a lot b of contractors over the years. They are, by far, the worst I ever dealt with. I do not recommend. I feel like I threw away $22,000.
