Only thing I would suggest is to make sure you bring your own sheets and towels to be safe because I saw a stain on the linen, so I put it on the floor to avoid germs. Also, the beds are extremely hard to sleep comfy, saw hairs inside the coffee cups, and their smoke detector was broken inside the room. If I had another option, I would've been at the Holiday Inn for more comfort like I normally would, but this weekend was busy due to the stupid Formula 1 racing event here. So lesson learned, get your hotel booked at least a month in advance before a major event comes into Austin, nearly half of Austin was SOLD OUT because of Formula 1 or the budget motel prices were extremely high.

So we got the room, and you know, it was kinda cute, it was clean, and it had a jacuzzi tub (with the shower over it, which wasn't good) I have a bad knee so getting in and out of that tub to take a shower was a hassle, you have no idea! There wash clothes are dingy white....(I'm glad I brought my own) So at this point those were my issues, besides parking. That seems to be a problem at every hotel in that area. If you don't get there by 10 p.m. good luck with finding a parking. But the night before we were going to leave, our T.V's sound went out! We watch TV all night, so that was horrible for us. We tried to get it going, and to no avail! We tried to call the office, no answer! We had to set up our tablet, with the same channel on the few that we could find that was on at the same time. Because were from Vegas, and we were in TX. So the next morning. We were trying to tell them that the sound went out. They kept telling us to go past channel 50 and the sound would come on! The TV didn't even go up to channel 50! Then we asked to speak to the manager, ohhhh the mgr. isn't here right now! They will be here later...Sure! So needless to say we didn't get to speak to a manager.

I guess she tagged me to be a "difficult customer" even when I didn't make a big deal and admitted I was at fault ... however, when I got in the room, the room was filthy. When I called her, she was not apologetic, was condescending, and not helpful at all. She quickly said she can offer a refund or we stay in the room. She could care less about the inconvenience... she didn't bother to offer to perhaps send housekeeping to maybe clean the room again since they can't offer a clean room for us... I had to call corporate who was much helpful, but in the end, we decided to book with Hyatt - and they were actually cheaper. Then, when I went downstairs to tell them we'll take the refund, I told her (and maybe the manager that was standing next to her) that I left the dog hairs I found on the night stand and that the chair they have was sticky and filthy. They just looked at me and was like "OK". Oh wow - my husband and I were laughing as we drove off... what a joke. We feel bad for the owner of this hotel. The two ladies at the front are the representatives of their business and the brand and let me tell you, those two ladies don't give a flying you-know-what if this hotel thrives. We come in this area about 8x a year since my sons loves Kalahari. We really thought this place was a good alternative when we aren't staying in the waterpark for the whole weekend like we're doing this time. But ... Total yuck. Please do yourself a favor and drive the extra few minutes to go to a much cleaner hotel. Off to Hyatt we go. It's only an extra 8 minutes down the road.

Room was off the chart but only down fall was that our heater did not work, AC worked nice but it was a cold windy day and we really wanted heat. The shower and showering supplies were amazing! Bed was comfy, pillows were fluffy. We got the king suite and it was awesome!! This hotel is walking distance to good restaurants and next to a large bowling alley and indoor sky diving facility. The next morning we were spoiled from the delicious coffee, plenty of various creamers, ice water, juices. The breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes. The oatmeal bar was a nice surprise with the cool topping options. Yogurt options in the fridge was so great so I made a fresh fruit parfait!! Something you don't get at any other hotel. So glad we stayed here. Price was nice and gave military discount. Two negatives for this hotel is that the room heater did not work and the pool is outside and it is NOT heated. Not having staff onsite was an issue our second night as the other guests decided to throw some sort of redneck pool party until midnight and we had no way to contact staff for help.
