by far the worst service i've had here so far. i come out of town when i visit in kern, because my drive is peaceful. my finger nails came out awesome (thanks andy), but once we got to my pedicure the woman acted huffy and puffy like she didn't want to do it. i came in an hour and a half before they closed, told them i needed a mani pedi, and once we got to my toes it was already 15 mins before closing. still, i don't understand the rudeness. it was a light color, so she brushed on a sloppy white base coat and then two sloppy coats of the actual color. instead of brushing evenly to get an evened out coat, she gooped the polish up on the parts that needed to be evened out. then, the polish got messed up on my left toe and she never fixed it. i'm sorry that i even paid or tipped her the measly $5. i won't be back. i work in customer service too, shame on you for acting crappy because i was your last customer. read more

Went there to get my eye brows done and possibly a full set. After seeing how they were doing nails I decided to pass on that.. I was not impressed! Lady that did my eye brows, never said a word to me once we got in the room. She proceeded to talk on her phone, I guess she had a bluetooth in her ear. It was so very rude. And my eyebrows are very uneven. What a shame!! This was my first and last time there. No customer service skills. Wow!!! read more

Hannah and Tyler rock. Had a little hiccup with them a couple of weeks ago but after discussing it with them they have fixed it all and we are good now. They go out of their way to take care of me and give me exactly what I want. The work extra hard to make my bails beautiful and what I want. Anytime I have been unhappy they have fixed them with no questions at all. I will only go to them and not allow anyone else there work on me. read more

I had high hopes for this place and came for several months getting various kinds of manicures. Mostly I was happy with my nails and loved the classier ambiance that is so often lacking from other nail shops in Ridgecrest. However, this last time was the last straw. When you are paying $21 for a basic mani and gel polish removal and you need to file/remove some of the gel polish yourself, it is time to never spend your money at said location again. On top of not removing the gel polish properly, the woman who did my nails did an absolutely atrocious job of my black nail polish, leaving it messy and unevenly painted. One of the worst manicures I've ever received, you could do a better job at home. So, take your chances on this spot. read more

I went to get a pedicure right after the salons were allowed to open back up due to Covid and I won't be going back for a LONG time! They were in no way following any social distancing rules, allowing walk ins (even though I had an appointment) and the pedicure stations and nail stations were NOT 6 ft apart! First off- walked in the door to a crowded waiting area right by the door. Nobody cared about social distancing. I walked to the other side of the room where there were not people hanging around waiting. I waited 40 min after my appointment time for my person to attend to me. I also had to ASK her to clean off the pedicure chair before I got into it. The pedicure chairs were the same they have always been- and weren't spread out to allow 6ft allowance! I witnessed nail polishes being put back on the rack without being sanitized and two trash cans OVERFLOWING. It was disgusting and I felt the need to shower as soon as I got home! Not safe in today's environment and it's no wonder everyone is being forced to close again. Sorry Luxury Nails! You used to be my favorite. :( read more

Guy that did my nails made me super bad about how small my nail beds were. Then complained the whole time that it was hard to do my nails. $40 for a gel set and I was charged $55 why? Because he wanted to cut my cuticles down. He was also super rough i left and my fingers were red. Save you money and go have a better day than I had somewhere else. read more

I've been to Luxury Nails so far only 2 times. The first time was wonderful! The nail tech I had was Henry. He was soooo nice!!! I've never ever had my nails done so well before! He really spent a lot of time making sure they were all perfect and identical! He even took each of one of my fingers on one hand and put it right next to the same finger on my other so he could make sure the lengths matched each other! Never had that done before, I thought 'wow this place is legit!'!!! He introduced himself and asked my name. He really seemed like he wanted to get to know me which I thought was nice of him. The whole time he did my nails he kept asking me "is this what you want?" or "is this okay"? And he kept saying my nails were beautiful and I was like hey you're doing them I agree and he was like no seriously these are so nice lmao he said it like 10 times. And then at the end he was like "okay when you come back ask for me okay" and he gave me his card. And I was soooo happy. Fast forward to when it's time for my fill. I go in and ask for Henry and they're like "Henry is on vacation for a few months" and I was like okay okay I'm sure whoever does my nails now will be just as good as Henry since they all work together .... LOL WRONG. The guy who did my nails literally did not say ONE word to me. Not one. He did not even ask what length I wanted or anything! Also he did not seem to care that my cuticles and the skin around my nails were also getting sanded off. It hurt like crap. Also he didn't compare the lengths of my nails like Henry did resulting in one index nail being significantly longer than the other. To make it even worst, when he did talk, it was to his coworker in their language which is so rude especially when you hardly even acknowledge your customer.. I don't know this guys name but he sucked. Henry set the bar super high. Can't wait for him to come back. Would have been 5 stars.. but Henry the 3 stars are for you!!! read more

Toss a coin to decide whether you'll have a great experience. I've come through here a few times now and the one big issue I have is the drill-thing used to remove polish or rough up nails. I have SUPER thing nails (hence getting a mani!) so drill usually get too hot or go through my nail too quickly. I always have to fight to get them to go the slow way (soaking the polish off) and even then, they still try to use the drill. No thanks! A friend had her toe cut to the point of legit bleeding once during a pedicure. That was fun to watch. It really just depends on the day, the tech, and maybe how they're feeling? I've had fantastic manicures last two full weeks with only a minor chip and other times, the polish has fallen off in just a few days. It's a gamble. So flip your coin, and choose wisely! read more

As I read through the reviews I have come across several that speak of rude technicians, nicks and nails that are crooked. I must say they are not going the the same place I go. I have been going to Luxery Nails shortly after they opened and I have not experience any of the treatment that has been mentioned nor have I observed any of the same. I have had several of the technician and all have been great. Hannah is currently the technician that I go to for my nails and pedicures. I do know that if she wasn't available any of the technicians would do a great job! read more

As a licensed cosmetologist. They do great work but are not sanitary. They used a dirty file on my toes and then on someone's hands. Also they didn't wash their hands after my pedicure and then went and did a manicure. Spas were not disinfected properly. Will never go back because of this. I visited this nail salon last week, I definitely will not return. Everyone was very polite, but the overall service was not acceptable. The water temperature in the pedicure chair went from warm to ice cold very quickly, instead of switching me to one of the open chairs, I was told to rest my feet while the hot water could be restarted. After waiting quite a while a woman came, asked me to choose my service from the menu and proceeded to start my manicure. I complained that my feet had not been soaked and she said it didn't matter. She was extremely rough and due to no soaking the cuticles and skin were not pliable so everything she did was painful, then the massage was very short and nothing more than a few rubs up and down my calves and feet. So what should have been a very enjoyable experience became a painful nightmare. read more

Me and my friend went to get our nails done and I was insulted by the lady that was doing my nails she asked me what was on my face then started touching my eyebrows thinking I messed up my eyebrows and I don't even do my eyebrows, then she tells me how she will wax them for me. It was very rude. They did my nails amazing I love them but my friend's nails turned out very bad and had they gave her a discount. I have been there 2 times already the first time the guy that did my nails didn't push my cuticles back or anything and the second time I went they ended cutting my skin because he was going to fast but they take walk ins but the 2 times I have gone they really don't talk to you and when you get a set of acrylic nails they put it on too think my natural nails can only deal with them for like a week and I have to go somewhere else and get them removed I gave them a chance because they were new in town but o think I will be trying a different nail salon next time read more

I have been going to Luxury Nails since they opened. The Pedicures are AMAZING!! I have my nails done by Kelly she is AMAZING! I have had my nails done at every place here in town, and have always been disappointed. On a side note, I do wish they had more colors to choose from. read more

I have given this place a couple of chances. They do not communicate. The first time I chose a grey color and when they were all done, they put my nails under the UV and they turned pink. The tech failed to mention that it was a nail polish that changes color. I ended up liking the pink so I didn't complain. Then the next time I left with my nails all different sizes but not to the point where it was extremely noticeable so I did not say a thing again and then I left with stuff all over my hands. It was hard to get off but eventually did. This last time, I am fed up. My nails are shaped completely different sizes. I would post pics but I already filed them to look better. I did not notice until I got home. I'm sorry but this isn't the first time that I feel like I didn't get my money's worth but I like to give a couple chances. Unless you don't mind uneven nail polish and different shapes/length on both hands then this is the place to go. I will not be returning. read more
