They sent us pictures of our setup and were very responsive. When we got there we found our table was a little too much in the sun and they were super nice about letting us move slightly to be in the shade. They also were able to close the slats on the patio roof cover to let less sun in. There were a couple kids menu items, I just remember the spaghetti and the kids enjoyed that. Cheese and meat platter - 4 stars Tempura green beans - 3.5 stars Zucchini pesto fettuccine - 4 stars. A bit al dente but the sauce was great. Sweet sour cod - 4.5 stars. Perfectly cooked and meat easily coming apart. Sur and turf - 4.5 stars. Beef super tender and tasty. Asked for medium rare but had to send it back was a little too rare, then it was perfect. Strawberry margarita - 4 stars. Quite light. Pisco sour - 3.5 stars. Really sweet. Passion fruit Caipirinha - 4 stars.

I was on the hunt for a restaurant still open on Christmas Eve / Day while visiting Lisbon for the holidays, and was delighted to see that a few of the shops next to my hotel, including The MOB, still opened their doors in late December. The shop is apparently themed after the Italian mob (although I couldn't really see the references), but I also loved that they had a live fish tank and great indoor and outdoor seating spaces. My mom and I took a seat outside and decided to split their sardine salad and shrimp / salmon paella. The sardine salad was solid, with a ton of fresh veggies and a generous helping of sardines. The sardines provided all the salt and fat the salad needed, but a hit of the white vinegar the restaurant offers on the side really brought the salad together. The paella was also good; the shrimp and salmon chunks were both tender, and I loved the pops of freshness from the green peas and tomatoes. The rice wasn't quite as flavorful as I was expecting, but it was still a good meal. The portions are also quite generous -- we split just one salad and a single / one-person serving of the paella, and it was plenty.

With nothing on our agenda for the weekend, we heard about this "flea market" online and decided to…read morecheck it out. I did a bit of online research about it, and saw several pictures posted. The pics were nothing really exciting; however, it was a gorgeous Saturday in December, so we thought we'd check it out to kill time. We caught public transportation from Praça do Restauradores, which zoomed us over to the Apolonia train station and a short walk to the market. Little did that Mercado de Santa Clara was gonna be HUGE, and apparently THE thing to do on a spectacular Saturday morning!!! The pics I saw online did absolutely no justice to what we had in-store for us! The place was overflowing with what seemed like hundreds of vendors, all hawking bric-a-brac and doo-dads and even "crap"! It was definitely a "flea market," indeed!!! It was truly fun to see all the stuff folks were trying to sell and make money off of. Lots of interesting stuff; lots of uninteresting stuff. Exactly what one would expect from a flea market! We even splurged on several ponchos and blankets that were too cool to pass-up!! :D We easily spent a good hour and a-half roaming through the "aisles." Shoppers were there in-force! And, too, being right next to several outdoor cafés made it easy to refuel and people-watch! (The indoor part of the market wasn't nearly as fun; but, still worth checking out.) The market is on Saturdays and Tuesdays, so I'm thinking I might pop back there on Tuesday, as I had my eye on something that I'm crossing my fingers will still be there...! We both cannot recommend the Mercado de Santa Clara enough...!!! :D

This place is cool but creeped me the hell out! Lol I went when no one was there I swear I heard…read morevoices. It has a very eerie feel when empty. Theres a part where you can walk by some glass cases and it has a sensor where it triggers a light to come on. When I walked into the room it was off. I continued to walk around and it remained off I was in there for about 5-10min before I walked in front of it. I finally made my way to the case and the light clicked on. I thought cool and looked at all the things then it turned off when I walked away and stayed off. Then when I revisited some of the things I was looking at before and the thing came back on while my back was to it. In my mind I thought finally someone else is in here with me. I turn around and nothing, then it turned off. It did this a few more times while I was in there theeeeeeen I decided fuck that I'm going to leave the room I'm not guna die today. Yes I can melodramatic sometimes, I've accepted this about myself. Lol some other weird stuff happened and I thought cool I get the point I'm leaving altogether. Lol overall they had some cool film stuff to view but this place is creepy.

This magnificent place was a perfect way to end our last night in Lisboa. The décor was quaint and cozy. The meals had a homemade taste, yet it was served in an elegant way.
