I took my mower in to have a basic tune-up done on. Nothing fancy, change the oil and filter, check the spark plug and sharpen the blade. After six weeks they still had not gotten to it. The owner kept apologizing and making excuses. I'm sorry but either hire better people or don't keep taking in work you can't get to in a reasonable amount of time. I took my mower there back in 2017 and they did a good job and completed it in about 2 weeks thus why I went back this time. My uncle took a leaf blower to this establishment for repairs. It took them a couple of weeks to make the repair. That was acceptable because they shared their timeline upfront. Note, this was not the first time I have patronized this business owner. On my second visit I realized the owner or the staff did not acknowledge customers when they entered the store. I brought the unfriendly customer service to the attention of the owner. I asked "why does no one smile or speak?" He replied, "I don't even smile at my own wife!" This is such a great attitude to have for a small business. I guess he is so large now, he doesn't have to be courteous to paying customers. I noticed they sold TORO equipment. Note to vendors (TORO), ask yourself is this the customer service you want representing your product. Steve is a very rude owner!!! By the way, is that how you justify being rude; because you don't even smile at your wife. Not a good example and I feel sorry for your wife. I've usually been able to do all my own maintenance but when my recoil and pull rope broke, I needed a little more help to make sure I was buying the right repair parts. I was a little iffy when I stopped by due to the run down appearance of the place, but these mom and pop places don't have time for beautification. I waited my turn and Josh immediately helped me out to make sure I had the right stuff. He didn't have the part I needed on hand but said he could order it but would likely take a couple of weeks. He gave me the part number and suggested I go online to Amazon and I'd likely have the part much sooner and for a lot cheaper than he could sell it to me for. I was so impressed with his honesty and candor I went ahead and bought the filter, plug and oil so I could do the annual service while I waited on the recoil assembly to arrive. Very few small engine repair shops around. Lyndhurst Lawnmower was recommended to me by a friend. I work on the west side, but live south of Indy. It was worth the 'schlep' :) The staff was courteous and professional. I would have given them 5 stars, however there was small issue with pricing, which they handled quickly. I will definitely recommend them to friends and use them again for any future lawn equipment maintanence and repair needs. read more
