I pre-booked a taxi from the Gibson Hotel to the airport Wednesday 19th October. It was late, so I phoned again and was told it was on the way. I watched on my app and finally it showed that the taxi was on the way. It didn't change and after 20 minutes more, it showed that the booking was cancelled. I phoned again and reinstated the booking. After checking my watch and realising I had been waiting for an hour, I gave up and called Free Now. Got a taxi in 5 minutes. There was a lady next to me also waiting. She also ended up calling Free Now and phoned up to tell Lynk (who her company had an account with). She was told "you should just always call them". I doubt they still have the account. Why take bookings? Especially to the airport? Really, really bad. read more

Unable to give NO STARS. Unprofessional and unreliable. Booking made (two weeks before my trip) and assurance given that the pick-up would be with the driver being in the arrivals hall of Dublin Airport with a name board. When I arrived (11.05 p.m.), nobody was there. I called twice, there was an authomatic message "you have a booking for..." but the operatar told me that they had some problems (???) and so there wasn't a taxi for me. Certainly will not be using again and absolutely not recommending. Look for another firm before using this one! read more

Pre-booked two taxis with Lynk for an early morning trip to Dublin airport and late morning trip to Heuston station. Dispatch was still trying to assign a taxi at pickup time for the airport trip and it finally arrived 25 minutes late. Thankfully the passenger still made the flight. The taxi to Hueston station was a no-show and the passengers ultimately used Uber instead. Bottom line - this is a crap taxi booking service, especially if you have a deadline. Use it at your own risk. read more

Unable to give NO STARS. Unprofessional and unreliable. Service started well: I called and ordered a car for an airport transfer picking up from Dublin and transferring to centre. Booking made (though no indication what the price might be or how to find out what it might be, which was a little unhelpful) and friendly assurance given that the pick-up would all be smoothly made with the driver being in the arrivals hall with a name board. Flight delayed so as soon as I knew this I called the company to let them know and they confirmed the new flight time (which was in 5 mins), along with more reassurance, saying the driver was on his way. Client then received a call to say driver on his way and then 5 mins later another call to say they had cancelled the booking. How can a car be booked and then cancelled so close to the pick-up? Certainly will not be using again and not recommending. Look for another firm before using this one! read more

I called the Lynk taxi service and got confirmed that no taxies was booked for the weekend. Mysteriously, I was able to book taxi for yesterday and today. Billed on the company I work for. This shouldn't be possible if no bookings was made? As I woke up today at 4 am, I called Lynk taxi service to be sure if everything was under control. They said taxi should arrive 4.30 am. 4.22 am I still hadn't got any confirmation or message about that taxi was on its way, so I gave Lynk taxi service another call asking if taxi was on its way. They said yes. At this time, I didn't have the option to call the taxi driver. He arrived 4.40 am, 10 minutes too late. I asked the taxi driver when he got the responsibility to collect me and he said he got the details from Lynk taxi service at 4.35 am. 2 days in a row, the taxi drivers (2 different) was driving in wrong direction from destination as well. Usually drivers do not know the way either and are therefore asking repeatedly me as customer for road assistance. As agreed with my manager, taxi is booked for my way back home today, but Lynk taxi services deny this and says no bookings are made. WORST TAXI COMPANY IN DUBLIN EVER !! read more

Useless! On a recommendation, I downloaded the app which picked up my exact location (well, next door, but I could tweak it). So far so good, I then booked a slot two hours away. All good still, and the countdown began. Fifteen minutes away from travel time, I could barely contain my excitement as the app told me your car is on its way. Five minutes before travel time, I get a call saying we can't get a taxi for you - or not this evening anyway. He went on to say they don't cover the area of Rush, Co. Dublin. I queried why none of this information was available on the app, but he said he'd have to refer it to their IT department. Note to IT department, please write some code which warns users that if you're in Rush, Co. Dublin (or some other location that you deem to be the land that time forgot) then you don't bleedin' well deserve a taxi! Won't be using this app again until there are serious improvements. read more

I downloaded Lynx to book a car to take me to the airport on one of those ridiculously early Ryanair flights. You know the ones. My address can be tricky to find using google and often I found that the instructions I give on the phone aren't passed on to the driver which in the past resulted in what I absolutely despise doing: talking to people in the morning and directing them to my house. The idea of Lynx is great: download the app, input your address, arrange a time, pay by card (or cash) and track where your driver is on the app. You can input your address and support that by a placing a dot on a map. Perfect and fool-proof, right? Well... About 5mins before the arranged pick up time, my driver is 200meters away. Just up the road. Great, me thinks, I get ready and go downstairs. It's winter and it's raining but he's around the corner so all good. So there I am, 5mins, 10mins and then...the phone call. Ah crap! I hardly understand the person on the phone but I can guess what he's saying. He's not where he's supposed to be. I try to direct him to the address, he doesn't know the area, I wait another 10mins. I'm very close to just hail a cab at this stage. I'm cold, I'm running late for my flight and I had to talk, several times at this stage to someone who I can hardly understand. Eventually, the driver finds me and I get dropped to the airport in an old and smelly car. This was the worst service I ever received by any taxi company. I'm not sure whether the driver couldn't access the map with the correct address as I couldn't ask him. I don't know anyone else who's also used the app so I don't know whether this was an isolated incident. I have deleted it however as I really don't wanna find out. read more

Even if you are threatened with kidnap by a little known man-eating tribe in the far flung regions of the Amazon, steer clear of this company like a very smelly unwashed relative at Christmas. Or a raging dose of the trots. Whichever takes your fancy. They were booked two days in advance but failed to adhere to the pick-up time. The cabbie phoned to say he had gone to Benidorm, sorry scratch that, he was going to be late. How late you say? Try not arriving at all. When phoned and rightly admonished for their tardiness, the girl who answered the phone hung up. The second call was equally as bad - first time I phoned, the phone rang out and was eventually answered reluctantly the second time around. When asked for their name, a false one was given which was used by me to address them for the duration of the call. If I had misheard, then the operator should have corrected me which they didn't. When phoned a third time and asked for the flight arrival time of the cabbie flying in from Benidorm, Lynk cancelled the entire booking upping the ante from dire to utterly appalling. They were phoned a fourth time and I spoke to a girl who could easily strip industrial quantities of paint off the most unyielding of surfaces or double up as a foghorn over at the Bailey lighthouse. The adage that the customer is always right went out the window - the customer can take a hike more like. Miss Foghorn was more interested in garnering an Oscar for best disclaimer than in fostering anything akin to decent customer service. The manager was no better. Most of the staff here were under the impression that in order to railroad through your opinion, you should bellow like an in-season wildebeest. Arguably the worst service and the worst cab company I have ever encountered. Buyer beware!! If you really don't care about getting to your destination this side of Christmas and are game for a laugh, then go for it. Otherwise I'd avoid them like the plague. They're about as professional as an ingrown toenail. read more

i am a dialysis patient.lynk are contracted to collect me and convey me to the Mater hospital three times a week and bring me home afterwards, i began dialysis two years ago and frankly having to deal with Lynk is a living nightmare. They are never on time,they persist with lame excuses,no matter how many times you complain,theservice never improves. ALL the patients have the same experiences.we are so frustrated with the inept and haphasard service,i truly believe this has an adverse effect on our health,particularly after dialysis when patients are so fragile, i have tried to explain this to the base staff on many occasions.Nothing changes, It gets worse. i have on at least five occasions, given up on them,and made alternate arrangments.Yesterday being a case in point.they put the NO-show down to confusion [HA].I was able to call a cab and was on my way in minutes. however the schedule was completely screwed up, with the consequent wear and tear on the mind and body............................... read more

We booked a taxi for 8.40 in the morning to get the "Aircoach" to the airport - the driver arrived at the wrong address, ca. 60m away; I made signs, run after him - in 10s. he left. I called the office, explained the situation - they said they will send me a cab as soon as possible. We waited for 25 minutes under heavy rain with my 18months daughter, nobody show up - We called several times the office, once they even hung up on me. I lost the "Aircoach" and took another taxi, from another company, to the airport. Paid a lot of money and we were all wet. No excuses from the company. Avoid at all prices! read more

I booked a taxi from the leixlip office and they said it would take 25 minutes, after waiting an hour after the 25 minutes wait the taxi finally showed up! I had to call the office 4 times to see where my taxi was where I was lied to and told it was only down the road from me! I had to call again after waiting another 15 minutes for this phantom taxi! I will never use this service again! Over charged for a 5 minute taxi ride and had to wait over an hour for a taxi that was only supposed to take 25 minutes! read more
