Going forward I'll find someone that makes safer recommendations for injections (as my doctor said doing under the eyes is actually dangerous) and that doesn't show up on the internet with weird news stories

My Chioce is so conveniently located for folks in BEST Southwest, but somehow I've never noticed the place. I gift certificate brought me in and I'm so glad to find quality spa services close to home. On my visit, I was greeted by their suuuuper friendly staff as soon as I walked in. After filling out some paperwork in the lobby (which smelled great btw) I was off to a private room for my massage. My masseuse was so nice and adjusted her pressure as needed. After my massage, I floated back out to the lobby and got to take a tour of the rest of the spa. When I asked to apply more pressure, she informed me that I didn't pay for deep tissue, I paid for relaxation (I should have walked out the door then). It wasn't professionally handled but I paid with no fuss & even left a tip since she was an older woman. Front desk never even asked me how everything went - it's like they knew this was a joke. The owner reached out to me personally which was appreciated and even told me about some of the complaints against this particular therapist. Yet, a considerable time was spent defending the business than remedying the situation. They wanted me to come back for 50% off & redo my massage - here's the kicker: with the same therapist if I wanted (Ha!). I communicated that I don't live in Texas and I'm only passing through so how & why would I give you more of my money & time??? Although I never asked for money back, the whole thing felt disingenuous and a complete waste of time. I would skip this one entirely as you're at a loss if you have a bad experience & you'll be forced to defend your feedback if the owner reaches out to you. Take your business elsewhere to those who aren't as dysfunctional, greedy & will actually operate from a place of integrity. I get massages often and I know the difference when it comes to quality, not to mention professionalism.
