Most of the staff at these places are useless.to give an example, I went to Gander Mountain a few weeks ago and asked if they had any "serving". The kid in the archery department had no idea what that was! When I visited Phil's the next day this question wasn't a problem. I think the main reason to come here is that they will help fit a bow to you. They will take the time to help you become a better shooter by stating you with a well tuned how. They also sell brands and gear the big box stores don't. This place can get a little busy on Saturdays so I recommend going on a weekday.
