This is an especially good suggestion for people that do not speak the language. But today's ticket, we bought online months in advance. We were told that there was a savings buying early versus the same day, etc. Now that we have been in France for over two weeks, we are experienced and have figured out their bus, train, and metro systems. Well we hope, lol. Ambiance - It is a major public train station, so come early if you are not experienced. Crazy busy as expected. Pay to use toilets - 1 Euro. Several floors. Service - Self service in this station as again, we pre-bought our tickets months in advance. Price - 188 Euros to Lyon for two people. $220 USD. Owner Comment - Thanks for having affordable and smooth transportation with Inoui to Lyon.

In April, we traveled from Paris to Nice through this station. Our taxi driver dropped us off at the curb, and we had a short walk through the entrance doors to our gate in Train Hall 1. At the gate, we scanned our SNCF tickets and went down the platform to our train and assigned carriage (car). It couldn't have been easier.

Not a review for/on France's metro system…read more This is a station in progress. The signage is in calligraphy style verses traditional subway mosaic. There is mosaic of "flowers/leafs" in progress. Plus mosaic signatures, of who, I don't know. It's a station that I should look into if I had more time in Paris. The signage is good. Love that the 1st and 2nd train etas are posted...common practice in metro stations. The announcements can be tricky for a non-French speaker like me but here's a tip.....just nod and react as the locals do. If they get off the train you should follow.

If you buy a pack of 10, it is 14.5 euros, which is a savings of 4.5 euros. Honestly, maybe it was bad timing or they've met too many obnoxious Americans, but we did not feel welcomed. At night time, it seems that none of the staff spoke English. No one really explained the different between a t+, a Navigo 1 week, or Navigo 1 month pass to us, which made us sad. Nonetheless, we did get a couple of t+ tickets here and put it to good use. So, let me break it down for y'all for those who want to know. a Navigo Smart card Week pass price, valid only from Monday at 00:00 to Sunday 23:59:59 as of August 1, 2016 and it is 22.5 euros to travel to all zones. You can read more about it if you search on google. This, in my opinion, would work best for those arriving on Mondays and leaving on Sundays - since you can use it more effectively and get the most value. However, if you arrive mid-week, it may be best to just get the 10 t+ tickets if you're not going to be running around too much. Personally, we planned out all the routes and figured that the pack of 10 worked best for us. All in all, we thought it was a good experience, but not one we'd soon repeat anytime in the near future.
