Every neighbor that walked by commented on how lovely the new fence looked. His estimate was spot on and he made us aware of any concerns he had along the way. I incorrectly assumed the hourly rate would fall within the parameters of a reasonable rate for an unlicensed handyman. Our bill for 15 hours of work was nearly $2,000 (minus some materials and small trailer rental) with a fixed hourly rate of $130 per hour. Although I appreciate George helping us out with our list of miscellaneous handyman items, we would not have proceeded with the work had we known that the hourly rate was so high.
