I misunderstood the sequence of the steps, and appreciated Cameron taking the time to explain it for me, even though other customers were waiting. When I got the paperwork done and returned for the inspection, it was quick and very clear. For my second service, I scheduled an appointment online for an oil change. I got a prompt email follow-up, plus a reminder email the day before. What I didn't know is that the online tool schedules for drop-off service only, which was not what I wanted. Zach explained this to me as he checked my car in. Despite not having an appointed time slot for my car's service and me stating that I was fine with waiting however long it took, the team worked it into their schedule. It was completed in a very reasonable time for a scheduled service. TLDR: I'm a very satisfied customer. The shop takes care of my car and me. And if you want to schedule a specific time for a service, don't use the online form: call the shop!

My…read moretruck is from California so there's no rust, but they charged me for the tank, straps, fuel pump, and they recommended they change the fuel pump sensor because it has almost 200,000 miles on it and since everything was already apart, I said, "Go ahead." They also replaced the side mirror, but when I got it back, the door was a mess. It's actually a simple procedure to replace the mirror, by taking the door panel off, but it was a mess when I got it back. I had to take it back and have them do it all over again. Meanwhile, my truck kept stalling while in operation and the oil cap was stuck on there... me and three grown men couldn't get it off after leaving their shop, including AutoZone. Also my locking gas cap isn't working the same. Cameron said that he was going to charge me AGAIN to look at the reason why my truck keeps stalling while in operation and I hit the roof. Then he said he would charge me if it wasn't his fault, leaving me vulnerable to another pathological lie, to look at it. So then when I took it to another shop, they replaced the oil cap for free, I only paid for the part, then, on the way home, my check engine light came on so I went back to AutoZone and the code says it's the fuel pump sensor. Cameron said that AutoZone doesn't know what they're talking about. So I contacted some other mechanics and they said that the fuel tank needs to be dropped again to get in there and replace it. So I have to start all over again, get it towed, drop the tank, which is now 3/4 full. I haven't had use of my vehicle since the beginning of the year. I've filled a small claim against them, but so far, Cameron hasn't stated that he's going to show up. Zach did. And Cameron also told me to never come back, and I'm blocked from all Protech websites. So he's completely disregarding the warranty and is really such a sheister, obviously. Really bad place. Never again will I allow those morons to touch my vehicle. I hope the court gets my money back for the parts, labor, and aggravation. According to Pennsylvania law, I'm supposed to get back treble damages and the Bible says seven-fold, so I hope so. When the countryman died of engine failure at over 110k miles, in June I purchased another older mini cooper. This is when our relationship changed. It was burning oil at an alarming rate, smoke was coming out of the exhaust, almost always after idling for a lengthy time and sometimes upon starting the car. I had it accessed by Murrysville Auto and a part replaced with the stipulation being that might and might not resolve the issue pointing to possible engine issues. Fair enough. I was glad to have honest information to make the decision. When it still exhibited smoke from the exhaust, I immediately made another appointment to have it reaccessed. This time, instead of Cody (owner) who always had relayed the information to me in the past, his mother, Jerrie (President) gave me info stating no further repairs were needed or recommended, that it was burning oil and the solution offered was for me to simply check the oil EVERY DAY. At this point, I questioned outloud to Jerrie in person if they were trying to tell me they didn't want my business any longer. She assured me that was not the case. We then talked and, with Cody in the conversation, as well, a rebuilt engine was found with a cost of installation being 15k. I agreed, thinking a total engine replacement would fix the issues. Before I could pay, I needed to transfer funds for next business day. In the meantime, a new light came on -- the engine reduced power light. This was a new symptom and my research showed it might mean more than an engine alone. I could not, with this new info, afford to pay 15k and not have a total solution so canceled the order for the engine. Now, Murrysville Auto lets me know the seller of the engine was charging a restock fee of 1600. This restock fee was not divulged to me on my paperwork which is unlawful and non-binding in PA. To just be done with the transaction and move on, I agreed to pay 1600. But then, Cody tells me it is actually more than 1600. I stand by the 1600 relayed to me and pay that. Soooo, bottom line I stand by my intuition that Murrysville Auto wanted to sever business relations with me, though I had been a long-time loyal customer and always paid my repairs in full, on the spot, with no questions on pricing or suggested repairs until this car purchased in June, less than 3 months and less than 1500 miles ago. By having Jerrie and not Cody give me the latest non-repair advice of simply checking oil EVERY.SINGLE.DAY which is ludicrous to charging and not divulging a restock fee (first, I would never back out of a contract except I had new vital info), it seems obvious that I will not be continuing my service with them for this car or any other. I have no idea what changed to come to their final ways of doing business, but it is what it is. They are not the same trusted business that I came to trust and rely on all these years.

We took our car in for inspection. They told my husband that the rear brake caliper was seized and…read morethey recommended a new caliper. The brakes were working just fine for us so we declined the service. We took the rear tire off and discovered that the issue wasn't the entire caliper, it was the E-Brake cable bracket. A little PB blaster and WD-40 fixed it right up. They wanted to charge us $600+ for something that was fixed for $8. Overall, they LOOK for something to charge you for in order to pass inspection. Only go here if you want to be scammed. Edit in response to business response: The brake cable connects to a bracket on the outside of the caliper (picture included). This bracket is attached to a physical cable in order separate this actuation method from the brake pedal which works via hydraulic actuation. When we received the vehicle, the brake cable was unattached so I think that's what you mean by "much better condition". The bracket was also stuck in the open position. Therefore it was not engaging the caliper in order to compress the brake pads against the rotor. This was verified by viewing the caliper actuation when the brake pedal was pressed. So I disagree strongly that it was stuck in the on position for the entirety of the inspection. In fact, in the pictures sent to me, you can clearly see it's in the open position. It was obvious to me that the caliper was in working order and the problem lie elsewhere. The jiggling handle went away after I re-attached the brake cable. So I guess I should thank you for diagnosing it, but not for trying to sell me a replacement when all it needed was a repair. I agree it wouldn't and shouldn't pass inspection before some penetrating oil was sprayed on the bracket. I'd also like to add that the person who explained the problem to me barely knew anything about the issue when questioned on specifics. All I got was "it's seized". This was another indicator that there was a severe gap in knowledge for some of your technicians and I needed to scrutinize the result. I am a car enthusiast, engineer, and have rebuilt the front end on my Cooper. I know what I'm talking about.
