He went above and beyond to get our tub operational. When he discovered there was a small leak with the filter lid preventing circulation, he tried everything to make it work, but unfortunately couldn't. So, he offered to put in the order immediately and have the new part shipped to our house. He also gave me a workaround to keep the tub warm until we could complete the minor filter fix ourselves to avoid draining the hot tub again. As a first-time hot tub owner, I appreciated that he walked me through everything and tried his best to find a solution to our problem. Thank you, Stone!

It is a little south of the city and west of the interstate but it is absolutely worth the detour. It is a rustic place called the Apple barn and parking is right in front. Their website gives a lot more information about it being more than just the main shop that is in the barn. They began as a family apple orchard and expanded over the years into a collection of attractions including two restaurants, a general store, a creamery, a winery, a candy factory, and a Christmas shop, all centered around the original barn built in 1910. We only visited the barn with the bakery goodies and the very friendly staff who helped us get some delicious snacks for the trip back to the hotel. It was great! Even if you don't plan to buy anything, it's worth taking some time to visit to get a snack for your trip or, if you are going to walk around the site, for the extra visit. We found it to be one of the more enjoyable stops to the area capping off a great visit to the Springfield, Ill area.

Went to the mall today and saw the Christmas trees. It was very well done, I hope for more people to participate next year!! Maybe they could contact a train group and have them set up a christmas train. Or the mall could utilize the empty store fronts and put in some decorations in the windows. Some additional photo opportunities would also be nice. Gingerbread cookies would be a hit as would live christmas music or swing choirs. Contact schools and churches.
