So convenient to order online and do curbside pickup. I miss going into a package store the check things out and ask staff for recommendations, but the online descriptions are great and you can call and talk to someone if needed. I went into the store yesterday and I did not have my mask on and before I put it on my face I was attacked by the entire staff with threats of physically kicking me out of the store if I did not put it on. It was a bully gang event for me. One staff member in particular name Tom was the most abusive who actually threatened to physically remove me from the store. This is a pretty nice liquor store - great selection of wines, and the staff is generally helpful with finding things the few times I've been in. The craft beer selection has some good options, and considering that's rare around the area it's good to know. They seem to have a larger than normal selection of hard liquors, but I haven't spent too much time looking through that selection - so it might just be the layout that makes it look that way. The one consideration when coming here is that the parking lot can get really hectic because of it's lay out. So, be careful pulling in or when you're leaving - as patrons can be a bit reckless. read more

I'm very happy that your Manchester store has reopened. The staff in there is incredible. The cashiers always give a friendly greeting and the two men who work on the floor are very knowledgeable about your products and are very helpful with making choices. I only shop M&R for Beer, so take that into consideration. The craft beer selection is respectable, but sadly they dont have a fast enough rotation. make sure you check the production or expiration dates on the beer. i've accidentally picked up 365day plus Double IPA's and others that should NOT be on the shelf. when some hoppy beers get past 90 days...they should be removed and not consumed. I respect the place and they are better than 50% of the liquor stores out there, but id love it they picked up their local selections with smaller inventories and fresher beer. The prices are always reasonable. Staff is good and relatively knowledgeable, depending on who you talk to. read more

I don't drink a lot, but had to do a beer run the other week. I had noticed they moved all of the refridgerators to the right side of their large store. I was looking for Polish Beer, and could not seem to find any in their large showcase of international and European Beers, so I asked for help. They were pleasant, and pointed to some Polish beer sitting on their room temp shelves. The other guy said, oh, we have some Polish Beer in the backroom (which was refridgerated). Morning, noon, or night the staff is always helpful. If for some reason one person can't answer one of my questions they always find someone who can. They are always willing to help me out with certain items that they may not always carry, which is a special help especially around the holidays. The carry out service is also a plus, whether you're a little old lady or a strapping young man they always offer their assistance. I do however wish they had more tastings on, or around, the weekend. It's always nice to hear their professional opinions on certain spirits, but it would be helpful to taste what they are describing in the moment. Plus, who doesn't love free samples!? read more

This is my go to store for wine even though it's a 30 minute drive from my house. They have a great beer and spirit selection also, but for wine, being more of an unknown for me, they will spend as much time with you as needed. Brendan spent about 30-40 minutes with my wife and I helping us build a mixed case. We gave him a couple of wines as a baseline for our preferences and he did the rest. It's very obvious he loves his job and that carries through the store as a whole with great service. We built an awesome case of wine and he was never looking to sell us the most expensive bottles, but looking to find us the best value and some unique producers we may not find elsewhere. Will gladly recommend them to my friends and continue to make the drive knowing I will get top notch service and a great experience. read more

I am always amazed at the awesome advice I get at M&R. I was there Saturday afternoon and a store representative helped me pick out what apparently are the two hottest local IPAs around, including one from Back East Brewery, which I'm happy to support because the owners are so incredibly charitable and supportive of the community. Needless to say I was a huge hit with my IPA-loving cousins in their late 20s. I don't drink, so the M&R representative could have easily steered me wrong. He didn't. The Manchester M & R is by far the best & friendliest location of all the M & Rs. Pretty great selection coupled with knowledgeable staff. I am definitely a fan of M&R Liquors when I am in town. M&R always has the particular type and brand of wine that I am looking for and there is always helpful staff on hand to help. Usually you have to spend at least 10 minutes wandering aimlessly in a package store before someone even remotely offers to help. Plenty of parking out front and a quick checkout for those last minute 8:45pm Saturday night package store runs! read more

So glad M&R is back after the de esta ting fire, the knowledge I look for is always present, the managers at M&R travel the world, to find some of the most delicious wines for private label! Always ask for private label first, Only sold by them and the wine and spirits guild members. ..just a comment about the Geno event, I read a review from a person that wasn't happy about it...she said she showed up at 7p, well she was 2 hours late, I was there working for my job as a tv cameraman so I saw the crowd! Not very friendly customer service. Owner turned the lights out while I was looking for a wine. Was informed they were closing in 5 min and to use my cell phone light. When stated I left the I.d in the car was told too bad your going to be locked out. Not sure if they were joking but did not find humor in the joke. The Manchester location of M&R Liquors is a great place to shop! They are now even newer and better than before. The place is huge and well organized with a fantastic selection of wines, liquors and beers. I have been a regular customer at this location for many years (20+) and I have come to learn that the management staff is very knowledgeable about wines because they have all traveled to other countries (France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Chile are among some) to tour wineries, taste wines and are knowledgeable on how to pair them well with different foods. The prices are very reasonable too. And you can't beat the $1 Smirnoff nippers in lots and lots of flavors!!! read more
