Poor Service
I had…read morean appointment with a notary scheduled in advance to sign a document.
The appointment was set for 9:00 AM on January 29, but I was seen at 9:10 AM.
TAHJE JONES, 7311 River Rd, North Bergen, NJ, Confirmation 232303301.
An employee came, greeted me, took my paper, and went somewhere. I was left waiting near the entrance. The rest of our conversation continued right there, by the entrance door.
The employee then told me they would not sign my document.
I asked, "For what reason?"
I explained that I had done this many times at Chase and TD without any issues.
Since they seemed to have their own rules, I asked them to show me an example of how the document should be properly filled out.
The employee told me to go to Google and find examples myself.
I found an example of a notarized document, and they then told me that I needed to bring a document that had already been notarized. I said, "That's exactly why I came to you--I need a notary to notarize my document."
They responded that these were the bank's rules and that I had to bring a document that was already notarized.
What is going on? Why do they treat their customers like idiots?
I wasted my time. Completely wasted it.
I wasn't even invited into an office--they spoke to me near the entrance. On top of that, the managers canceled my notary appointment, marking me as a no-show! (I hadn't even made it back to my car yet).
The employee acted arrogantly, avoided my questions, and at one point just walked away mid-conversation, ignoring me completely. He looked at me as if I were homeless, just because I wasn't wearing a business suit--even though I am a premium client.
This is disrespectful, unprofessional, and frustrating.
This bank is supposed to be No. 2 in the U.S., yet they hire employees like this?!
It's not about documents, notarization, or signatures--it's about how they treat you.
Today, here, unfortunately, I only felt negativity.
