OK if you are prepared to be without your boiler working for about 3 weeks. If you have a problem they respond quickly enough, they order the part, which usually takes a week to arrive- the eng visits again the replaces the part but still not working, goes through the same process again. Now if this was an isolated incident OK, but unfortunately it appears to be the norm in my case. Annoyingly they also then start to tell me how crap the boiler is and they can of course replace next day for £2300 !! my boiler is only 7 years old and ever since I went back to BG I have had no problems. Took out the full heating,plumbing,electrical insurance £190 a year.Had to call them out for a minor plumbing problem second year it goes up to £220 and stays like that in third year.Called them out for water in shower going hot and cold they re balanced the water. Suspect they bodged it has it takes a age to fill the bath and water now hot and cold again. They never phoned to renew the insurance has they have alway`s had done in previous years which makes me suspect the system really needs a new part which will cost them if they renew. If you take out their boiler cover, they may fix your boiler when it breaks down, but only if it's in their "economic interests". Once they decide it will cost them too much money, they will simply refuse to fix it and just offer you a new boiler. If they do fix it, it will take several visits by poorly skilled engineers to get it done. We also had to chase them up every time our annual service was due. And one of the engineers thought it would be a good idea to throw the descaler onto our lawn. read more

Had the same they told me they could replace the boiler for the same £2300 said boiler was rubbish. When I did have a problem they rang said they would look at it I presumed they meant that day! Not the case as when I rang back at the end of the day they said in a day or two, I expressed to the managing director my dismay as they advertise a 2-4 hour call out in the case of total breakdown in winter, he replied by saying that that would be impossible at any time and if I wasnt happy he is going to cancel my dd therefore canceling my policy!! When the engineer finally arrived he told me that there are only 7 engineers to cover all policy holders !!! I am a pensioner of 71 years I need to feel assured and have confidence in the policy that I was sold which it looks like isnt worth the paper its written on!!!!!!!!! Very poor service for anything outside of routine. Fitters take too long to arrive to solve issues, and when someone does arrive, they are often not qualified for the task in hand, adding further delay if the matter can be resolved at all. Fitters often negligent whilst carrying out repairs, causing further damage that they can then repair 'at additional cost' because it is not part of original contract. As per other reviews - keen on promoting their own parts because others mysteriously can't be fitted. Smells like a con a mile off and not surprisingly the Owner is never available to meet your face to face. Avoid at all costs - there are others who are worth the extra pennies. read more
