So the money being paid is not for her actual work or expertise but the clerical help. Had I known this upfront, I would not have used this business. The worst part, three weeks after giving them our information we did not hear until April 15th at 9 pm. Arlene calls and tells us we owe more than 10,000. We originally chose this company as Arlene stated she had experience doing taxes for expats. It is appalling to wait till the due date and then spring this large amount on someone. The good news is we took an extension and had another tax preparer take a look and ended up getting a refund. Stay away from this business if you want your taxes done on a timely basis, done right and by someone professional.

However, now that I'm back in Arizona I'm working with a local CPA who is needing some document from Carol that were not included in all the paperwork she returned to me. I am very organized, not only do I keep copies of all my tax documents for 10 years just in case but i also scan the entire file so that I can have an electronic copy readily available. Aside from answering my initial phone call and responding to one of my text messages Carol has been unresponsive. It has been over a week since my initial contact with her this year and its coming down to the wire. It appears one document that I am needing from her is going to cause my 2017 taxes to be late.

I was skeptical to start the process because I read articles online that said there is a lot of scam locations out there that take your money but don't assist you with what you pay them to do during the OIC process.
