After putting the attic stairs on the wrong side of the dining room ceiling, Marc tried to deny he made the mistake and then disappeared. That is only one of the major mistakes he made that I now have to pay for. He hired an HVAC company that installed my system incorrectly. The system was wired incorrectly to the thermostat. It is over one year since Hurricane Sandy, I am writing a review of my experience with MMarin Restoration in hopes that you will not make the same mistake I did. Simply stated, the quality of MMarin Restoration's work was horrible not to mention the fact that they engage in illegal business practices. Despite eventually having my home rebuilt, there were countless issues and problems along the way. Additionally, I have found countless others after they had "finished." In fact, I have had to pay over a three thousand dollars to repair shoddy work that was poorly completed by MMarin Restoration. I can easily say that I was completely taken advantage of after the storm and I urge you to think twice before choosing to hire them. From bowed walls, to crooked floors, to slanted ceilings, to cheap materials, to sloppy painting, to overall terrible workmanship MMarin Restoration is NOT a company you want to work with. There are countless other restoration companies and/or general contractors. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do not choose MMarin Restoration. I promise you, you'll thank me. DO NOT HIRE this company will steal you're insurance money and give you such a bad job . We are taking then to court and we will win. He left us with so many code violations and he also downgraded our house. He gave us plain wood doors with no view point. The doors are the cheapest ones at home depot for 106$. My insurance cashed him out with 130k. He removed our door bells and gave us remote bells which are 30$. He took away our ceiling fans and gave us 2 small light fixture's. My house is so dark compared to before. If you want to deal with a headache and problems hire this guy . I still have 3 unfinished walls and 2 broken windows that he refuses to fix. But I'm going to get that money when I take him to court . Make sure you get a good lawyer . And make sure you take pictures. I dont want this to happen to anyone else read more

Hiring Marc Marinoff and his team was a fantastic decision when remodeling my basement after it got flooded and would not hesitate to hire them again. First, Marc responded very quickly and came to the house to asses the damage and what needed to be done. He was open to discussing it and adjusting it based on my needs. Marc was good at explaining everything related to my concerns and flexible to come up with solutions that would fit what I was looking for and work around my busy work schedule. Second, when the work finally started at my house/basement Marc maintained excellent communication with me and detailing the work progress and keeping me involved. This was crucial for me. Third, the quality of the work was amazing. I was very surprised at how fast they finished the work and extremely happy with the quality of the results. My basement looks great, even better than before the flood, and it's thanks to Marc Marinoff and his team from Marin Restoration. Finally, after the remodeling was done, I noticed a few little details that I wanted to fix, and Marc immediately agreed to fix them and sent his team so that I would be 100% satisfied with the results. Back in January of this year I had multiple frozen pipes in my home which flooded a few rooms in my home and basically my tenants entire apartment and basement. I hired a public adjuster to help me handle the claim with insurance. Being on my own and not knowing where to begin, my PA recommended Marc and his company M.Marin Restoration. The following day Marc was at my home to take a look at the damage(s) and what needed to be repaired. Marc,along with the PA had their workers there that day,breaking down walls,as well as the plumber and the electrician. They also made sure to have the insurance company there ASAP to do their estimate on the damages to my property. Once everything was situated and handled with insurance, Marc's workers got to work immediately. Marc made sure to have continuous communication with me through the duration of the repairs. He called me to inform me who was going to the home each time. He also would make arrangements to meet with me that fit my schedule, knowing I work in a school,to touch base on what remains to be done and if I had any concerns or questions.Many times through this ordeal I was completely stressed out and worried so I would had to contact Marc. Whether it was day or night, including weekends Marc was there to answer my call or call me back immediately. He would calm me down and insure me he would take care of any my concerns and/or get a worker to my house. Each time Marc came through for me. He made sure whatever I needed done or if I came across another problem he had someone there to fix it. Marc even went above and beyond for me, taking care of other issues I had in the home that had nothing to do with the flooding or part of the claim. I am currently home now from the damages and work is complete. I am completely satisfied with the work that was done, how my tenants apartment came out, as well as the rooms that needed to be complete in my apartment. Everything looks beautiful. Now I have work that needs to be done to the exterior of my home and I am letting M Marin Restoration complete that work as well. Now in 2018, we are about to lose our home due to the repairs with leaving doors broken, holes, unfinished bathroom, all not up to NYS regulation.
