A salesman came to my home and provided me with a large variety of cabinetry, countertops, backsplashes, flooring right down to the hardware. The quality was far superior to other vendors and I wanted to go with someone with a good reputation. Tom Currao was the project manager and he could not have been more diligent and responsive. The total job took about 15 days to complete. I am soooooo glad I went with Alure!!! we had a bath to shower conversion done about a year ago. The seemed to be efficient and timely. However, we had an issue with the shower door. It would not stay closed. I called and scheduled an appointment to have someone come and check it out. They checked it out and it worked for one day. I then fixed it myself because I couldn't get through to anyone. I also had a problem with the shower doors rattling. I spoke once with the service manager and he assured me that he would get back to me with a solution. Never got back to m. I left three messages and still no response. I definitely regret using this company. Go somewhere else. In addition, they are way overpriced. it's such a shame because I have six windows and two exterior doors that have to be replaced. So they definitely lost that job. I am extremely disappointed with the service department. Our project was completed just over a year ago. We had a leak in the ceiling and were initially told it was because the toilet wasn't sealed correctly in one of the renovated bathrooms. When another service call was placed to fix the dry wall in the ceiling, it appeared the toilet was leaking ever since installation which resulted in black mold. We've been trying to resolve this issue for months but no one from service ever calls back. The ceiling and black mold is exposed in our laundry room and we were told we cannot cover it up to make sure it dries properly. When we asked about mold remediation, the service guy said bleach kill mold. We have a toddler at home and a baby on the way and will now need to pay a third party to remedy this issue. Additionally, the faucet in another one of the remodeled bathrooms has been leaking since it was installed. They tried to fix it on 4 different occasions and it is still not fixed. After paying top dollar and being told they stood by their work product, I am extremely disappointed in both the work and the lack of responsiveness. Our project to enlarge a bedroom and build a bathroom and closet took four years. Granted it started right before Covid and the supply chain problem but the problems with them go beyond getting permits, materials and workers We were originally sold on their use of their own workers turned out they use all subcontractors. The man problem is the lack of communication. We went months without hearing from them. Both during the construction to up date us and after when we needed warranty work. Many calls and texts just to get dates for the repairs that were not kept. We originally signed with them as they were local and had good ratings COVID if not we are sorry we went with them They are out of the general contracting business and only do kitchen and bathroom replacements now Good luck to you if you go with them but I will never again deal with them for anything new. I was told it would take two weeks it took two months. they installed the wrong tub. they didn't want to replace but after much arguing they finally did. they closed the walls before the plumbing was done so they had to remove the Sheetrock to finish the plumbing. they measured wrong for the linen closet so I ended up with a much smaller linen closet. they installed the wrong shower head. the bath faucet and shower are not centered so my left shoulder is up against the wall. the bathroom vent was put in wrong that I failed inspection. I cannot speak to their work, but their customer service was terrible. I just bought a new home and was looking to replace my upstairs windows. I set up an appointment with several window companies, including Alure Home Solutions. Unfortunately, they never showed up to the appointment. No phone call or any contact. A few days later they call me, without any mention that they missed the appointment. I shared with them that they missed an appointment and that I was no longer interested. After that call, they called me 4 more times within one week, even though I told them multiple times that I was not interested. There definitely was a problem that needed to be fixed and although I wouldn't say it was easy getting to the right people at Alure, ultimately, the President of Alure came to look at the work with his plumber and reimbursed me for the repair I had to make on the spot. I'm not going to nit pick about a job that was done 5 years ago. It was stressful at the time but I am happy with it after all. We did a tub to shower conversion. Working with Alure was great and the team we had, Danny, Allan and Santiago were wonderful to work with. Any issues we had they addressed immediately. Our only suggestion to anyone would be to go to a showroom and look at the product you are ordering instead of just going by catalogues. Our product was Samuel Mueller. The color we chose wasn't the same as it appeared in the catalogue so I had to change my choice. The barnyard glass door design is not the best. They were installed correctly but there are too many gaps for water to splash out. Allan went to great lengths to put a fix on it for us, which helped, but he shouldn't have had to do it. After a complete bathroom gutting and renovation done 11 months ago, the workmanship was subpar. The foreman was never around when there were concerns or mistakes made. The grouting of the tiles was done very sloppily and is coming out in certain areas. The shower doors rattle terribly and we were told that's the way they are? One of the doors was installed with chipped glass. The vanity needed one of the drawers fixed it never shut properly. A towel ring was placed over the sink , why I don't know. The workers did their own thing and were hard to communicate with due to a language barrier. When you spend thousands of dollars and the items installed are put in damaged or defective, it makes no sense. What good is having a warranty if they don't honor it. We still have an ongoing problem with shower doors. I will not recommend them despite their name. read more

My basement windows are extremely small, so when the exterior designer came back with a quote over the phone of $1,875.00 I was a little surprised. Are you willing to spend 177 days waiting for a 10-day kitchen to be completed? Then take the chance on Alure. First, I'd like to say, "Hi, Sal!" Sal Ferro is President & CEO of Alure Home Improvements. He reads all these reviews, as he should. I welcome Sal's comments on how Alure did all the right things to rectify the problems, and I welcome you to read the story of my 6-month ordeal along the way. In July 2020, Alure renovated my bathroom. As a result of my satisfaction I contracted them to do my kitchen. Their prices are higher than other contractors but if they do a good job, it's worth it, right? My salesman helped me pick the designs and my coordinator took care of all the permits for the vendors, my co-op and my town for both jobs. Well done. Before the kitchen started, the bathroom needed multiple repairs. The toilet leaked twice, the pipe under the sink had to be replaced and the shower needed 2 parts replaced. I paid over $21,000 for a 5'x9" bathroom that needed 4 repairs in less than a year. November of 2020 I paid Alure $6256.00 as a down payment for a "10-Day" kitchen. I was shown 3 packages, 2 of which I could not afford. I'm guessing now the two higher-priced packages include solid wood cabinet doors. It's hard to tell the exact materials on a design board but I assumed when I read "solid wood cabinets" that the panels in the doors were solid wood. Not the case. The box of the cabinet and door frame are painted maple, but the front panels are thin painted MDF. Never assume, ask. My salesman explained a kitchen takes about 2 1/2 weeks with permits. When my Project Manager handed me the schedule day 1, the project was slated for 4 1/2 weeks. "You don't need to be home, use a lock box," everyone from Alure said. Had I not been home I would not have known that the electricians didn't show up day 2 of the project without notifying Alure and causing delays. Considering I was paying premium price I did a lot of my own project management. After a month of kitchen reno I was left with a pantry without shelves, a broken cabinet door, a cabinet with a huge crack, untrimmed structures and several shims sticking out of installed pieces. My dining room floor was scratched from the men storing and moving materials. "We'll send our floor guys to fix it," my PM told me. Can one really "fill" deep scratches in a wood floor to match? A repair would mean redoing the entire floor and more people making a mess in my home. What the Alure folks fail to realize is that customers need to adjust our schedules and reorganize our homes every time a contractor makes a visit. As it was, multiple contractors showed up at the wrong times, even the wrong days. I was unable to put my kitchen back together for 6 months. As we know, in 2021 materials take longer to get, so every time Alure ordered replacements for missing or damaged parts the project was long delayed. Reordered materials were repeatedly sent to the wrong place, and once a cabinet door of a completely different style was delivered. When I escalated my complaints to a Director of Operations he said "we can't get good people in the factories because everyone would rather stay home on unemployment." The last time I was waiting on a replacement part i was told FedEx lost it, but there were no tracking numbers. "Corrections" made were insult to injury. Replacement parts were damaged, a cabinet was put in crooked. For 4 months was held hostage by Alure as I paid them in full in June. Ultimately I gave Alure nearly $38,000 to renovate a 100 square foot kitchen, a project that took 6 months. My review is fair, honest and accurate and an appropriate us of this medium so I can help others consumers make an educated decision when choosing a home renovation company. I would never recommend Alure Home Improvements to anyone looking for a contractor. read more
