My wife had 2 vehicles painted at Maaco in Fayetteville NC. The paint job on her Maxima is starting to show flaws. I see arrears that dropped and weren't sanded properly. I did not see this in the beginning, but now I do. Her SUV was held for 21 days to paint BLACK again. When we finally received the call that her vehicle was ready, we were SHOCKED to see it had been painted with a "GREEN" tint. She was furious and I was extremely upset. Long story short, they gave her $100 for their error. The ONLY reason she took the embarrassing check was because RACHEL told us they would repaint it, but she has NO IDEA when we would get the truck back. If you read their blog, it states it takes on average 3 days to paint a vehicle. THEY TOOK 21 DAYS TO PAINT IT THE WRONG COLOR. This site needs to be closed down. Oh and don't be fooled by the customer service response when they say " we're sorry for your experience, please contact us so we can resolve this issue". Customer service was actually BACK TO THE FAYETTEVILLE NC SITE where the problem originated from. WARNING ......GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND PAY WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO. I had a little finder bender and maaco is what my husband suggested. They were cheaper than anyone else I got estimates from and they did a pretty good job. It took maybe a week in a half to complete the job and the receptionist was very friendly. I would definitely go back but the only reason for four and not five stars is because they didn't but the equinox letters back on my car before I got it back. Other than that they did a pretty g UPDATE They are unprofessional and the work itself was good but that fucked up the wiring in my side mirror so the light that glows when a car is in your blind spot is not as affective as the other side. It's going on a week and they still having put my equinox name on my door. She said come in to get it put back on so I went in and she claim she couldn't find it! What a waste of a trip. You really get your money's worth here it's cheap so you get cheap service and customer care smh should have paid a couple more hundred and went somewhere else. Worst experience ever, Customer service does not exist here. I had my second car painted here back in October there was a miscommunication between the Manager (Aleicica Padgett) about completion of my Honda Pilot. The Owner (Michael Collins) called and thoughtfully resolved this one issue. Recently, I had my Red Corvette my corvette was painted and it wasnt satisfactory....it still have bubbles and a key stratch. The vehicle was just wash down. The Manager sas too occupied caring for her dog at the time running around the business property without a lease. The next day I called the manager and she said just bring it down and we take care of it....now my vette been there past two months sitting parked. The Managers word is not trustworthy as she continues to lie to me that my vehicle will be repainted and come on this date after a dozen times of coming to the paint shop because she wont return calls. I had enough, the owner is rude as heck and just told his employees to give back my keys.... Hello! I paid for a warranty. Im sending out to all consumers stay away from the stress and bad customer service. Don't ever take your vehicle here. I brought my motorcycle tins and tank here. They told me a week. It took 6 weeks due to the runs in the paint, trash / dirt in the clear coat, wrinkles and bubbles in the decals. After 6 weeks my fuel tank looks absolutely horrible. If I could give zero stars, I would. 40+ days down a vehicle for an all over paint job. Paid for their "highest package" to ensure it would be done correctly. $4,500 later and only one dent that I pointed was repaired during prep, they sprayed over debri, dents, dimples etc. My after market bumper took an additional two weeks for them to compete. When I brought it back to have things corrected, they only corrected one thing on the entire list of a dozen or so issues. We were essentially called liars by the store manager for pointing out things she said she would happen that didn't. Never once received a phone call or update during the entire priced. We learned it was best to just show up and figure out what was going on ourselves which was time consuming and frustrating because we'd pull up to find the truck hadn't moved. Last but not least, paint is chipping and peeling in various areas on my truck when I've hardly drove it. I can see my original paint color, dents, dings and dimples... oh and two of my windows won't roll down post Maaco. Worst experience ever. If I could do it over, I would've paid a little extra to go somewhere local. read more

I have been doing paint and body work for years. That being said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Maaco, BUT your expectations have to be realistic for the price. If you get a $600 all over, the cheapest you can find anywhere, it's going to look like a $600 all over. You'd be hard pressed to find an all over paint job anywhere for less than $4k. Now do not get me wrong. They have more expensive options. And they are fine. Nothing wrong with them at all. But you can't really nitpick over a $600 paint job. Maaco has painted several of my vehicles and I understand for the price it's a good value. No trash or orange peel. You cannot beat it for the price. The one time I had an issue with my fender they were more than happy to fix it for me. And to everyone complaining about paint match. They do not understand how difficult it is to match solvent based paint. You can paint one panel one day and another the next and it will be off. So if your on the fence about it. Give them a shot. read more

Even getting to Maaco was unpleasant. I live close to it but there is no way to enter the lot heading south on Skibo. I had to make a U-turn on Reaford which sucks because there are always cars making a right turn onto Skibo so you get stuck at the light for a bit. But anyway, putting that aside I thought the place would do a good job since Maaco is well known. I had a free estimate on a small dent and scraped paint. The quote was was a bit pricey but I thought it would be worth it. However, when I got the car back two days later than I expected, the inside smelled like a a paint can. I wondered if they closed all the windows before painting the door. There were paint marks on the rubber sealing the windows and on the windows themselves. The passenger door lock was coated in paint also. I almost couldn't get the key in to unlock the door. And to top it all off, the lady wouldn't honor the coupon for 10% off that Yelp was offering. I'm not sure where to even begin. It took an entire week for them to do a rhino lining on my truck and the same day literally every line was peeling. They also broke a tab on my bumper and luckily I caught it. I scheduled a day to bring it back to get it fixed two weeks later (so that they could actually do it that day rather than going without my truck for another week). No one "showed up" to do the rhino lining but they didn't call to let me know, I had to find out later in the day when I was supposed to pick it up. The work done on my truck is terrible, they did more harm than good and I'm left with a shoddy job trying to figure out what to do. The customer service has been terrible as well. My horrific situation started 10/22/2019, I took my truck to be painted and I waited until 11/22/2019 to get my truck. Two weeks after, I noticed the previous color was showing on the truck and bubbling in the paint. To their credit they repaired it, I thought I was good until paint started to bubble around the fenders in February. I wanted to wait to see was more paint going to bubble and yes it did. I went to Maaco and a female representative told me to bring the vehicle back preferably 7/2/20, which I did and the vehicle fenders were painted and I had two colors on my truck on 7/7/20. I complained and was told to bring it back. Reluctantly, I took my truck back and the truck set until I spoke to supposedly the regional managers JB and Phil on 7/13/20. They promised me I would receive my truck back on 7/16/20 and I did with two colors and orange peel, so I went to talk to either Phil or JB and he said come back in 30 days because they have a backlog. I was totally upset and had enough of Maaco so I took my truck to another shop. In conclusion, I complained to Corporate Maaco and of course they didn't do anything so now to BBB, Facebook and Google. read more

Maaco on skibo in Fayetteville NC is trash. I took my car there to be fix from a accident on December 27 2022. The GM there (Byron) told my insurance company that I turn in my car on January 5, which was a lie. And also told them that they were trying to reach me when my car was ready, another lie. He said he called me on January 20th but couldn't reach me. Another lie. I called Byron every week and each week he had a excuse. One week the y had to order the parts, next week the parts didn't come in next week they can't get the parts and want to know if they could use used parts and then next week he told me the car will be ready in a couple of days. He called me on the 24 January and said the car was ready. I told him that I would pick the car up the next day, January 25.I had to pay the insurance company a extra 300.00 for rental. This guy is a liar and need to be check. He's just covering up all his mistakes. I would never go back there nor recommend anyone there. If anyone need to contact me please do. read more

I have a 1957 International pickup truck. They did a nice job of repairing dents and holes and giving it a new paint job, and putting bedliner in the bed. It took them about four months but as this is a hobby truck and not my daily driver it was not urgent. There is a company in Iowa that restores IH trucks and could have brought it back to showroom new for more money but they have a five year wait. I didn't want showroom new, just a decent looking vehicle. I checked with lots of body shops in my area and none would work on something as old as my truck, except Maaco would, and they did a nice job! So, this review does not really apply to someone who has had a fender-bender and needs to get their car back quickly. I still have a few more things to do on my truck, but now it looks good enough to take to shows and parades. Here is why I gave four stars instead of five: when I picked it up the taillights had not been reconnected and attached, nor had the windshield wipers. read more

Went to Maaco to re-do work "done" by Dales Paint and Body. The staff at Maaco was extremely professional, and most importantly, thorough. Taressa Wright did the damage inspection herself, provided an accurate estimate, and inspected the work before it was returned to me. The job was complete one day after estimated. The damage on my vehicle was repaired properly, and I also had a Rhino Liner installed. I received a military discount as well. The price was more than fair, and they worked with me to keep the cost down. I have no complaints. It's a relief to have the work completed after Dales gave me the run around for over a month. read more

Well the turn around took three weeks longer than told , and the quality was poor. They did not replace my side trim and the paint job is piss poor. I have never in 30 years of repairing, selling, and dealing with the "in and outs" of classic cars had a worse experience. I came in for a simple clear coat only to have these bargain basement amateurs respray the majority of my truck in a unmatched similar color. They even painted the flexible plastic! I should have judged a book by it's cover because when I came in I saw pretty boys through the window flexing with the equipment and a baby sucking on a bottle and paint fumes. I didn't want to be "that guy"... I warning to rest of you, BE THAT GUY!!!, THEY SUCK ASS!!!, I mean major ass. I was told it would be a week time top which worked for me because I had to ship you vehicle overseas 2 months later. THEY FINALLY HAVE IT BACK THE DAY I HAD TO HAVE IT IN CHARLESTON, SC. I had to drive like I stole it just to make it late, miss my appointment, reschedule for the next day, and pay for a hotel. My pissivety went Nagasaki when the inspector noted the oversprayed hard drips around the car, the accidentally ground down door handles, the rear latch sprayer also ground down, the door paint not matching the pillar paint between them, the painted over side mirror courtesy lights, and the door jam overspray on the vehicle identification label. I pray when I return to Fayetteville that there is nothing left at that location but a tombstone of an awful, deceitful business where it once stood. I promise you that my sons and I will make it our mission to piss on it daily before lunch as my wife directs passerbys and other victims to participate. GO TO HELL MAACO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This goes to the negative stars that I can't add to it. It is highly recommended that no one uses this ship due to their unprofessional and lack of experience. Lady at the front counter told me my part was going to be ready 3-5 days from Monday morning. So I asked her Thursday or Friday she acknowledged. Friday comes around they had an excuse that the part was not done due to the rainy weather. I'm thinking your not painting my part outdoors so what's the excuse. The following Monday rolls my part still ain't ready. Called on Tuesday afternoon lady said she tried calling me to let me know it was done Monday night. And You had the car from Monday Morning at 7:50am (when I was their not you) until I picked up on Wednesday morning at 9:50am. This is well over 1 day or 30 hours as you claim. As for rudeness, I never once raised my voice to you as you did to me, I did say Please to you when asking for my car. When you told me you would charge the 8% fee I said I would not pay as you did no work to it. I then asked politely "please just give me my car so I can go elsewhere" I did also ask for your owners phone number as you stated the 8% was not your policy but theirs. I did say "please don not make me have to get the police or an attourney involved" That is when you opened the shop door and yelled to someone to pull my car forward from the holding area and then looked at me with a raised voice and said "get out of my office" Lets be honest you had a customer in the office when I got their, I was polite and waited until you finished your business with them until i asked for my vehicle. Dont you think if I wanted to be rude and nasty that I would have said something while they were their. I so wish there was a higher rating than 5 for Maaco Fayetteville! Manager Taressa Wright is extraordinary, as is the outstanding customer service. I brought her my car that was badly messed up by another Maaco dealer for re-painting as Maaco guarantees their service. Problem we hit is that the Maaco in Duluth changed hands, the manager refused to cooperate or even answer his phone! All he had to do was guarantee payment for the new job to compensate for the botched job. Taressa and I made countless calls, I called corporate three times and wrote two powerful letters with no response or help. (same on corporate!) Taressa, however, never quit and called managers in both places until she got the go-ahead! I admire her so much and will always be so grateful for her help in an impossible situation. Even if you have to drive farther, you will be so thankful you did if you go to Maaco Fayetteville!!!! She is an incredible manager, and that is the true difference! read more

Terrible experience will never go here again. Told them I would do must of the prep work myself but unfortunately had a family emergency so I could not finish before my appointment. Explained what had happen to the manager and he told me verbally that is was ok they would take care of the rest of the prep. when I got my car back they just painted over unfinished areas and paint remover compound 2008 dodge charger looked terrible. When I complained to the manager he told me when I got my first initial estimate that I stated I would do the prep work myself. At this point I didn't argue. Even though I had explained to them what had happened and was told verbally that it would be fine and they would take care of it. My original paper quote had me stating I would perform the prep so I paid and extra 400.00 dollars to have the car wiped/re-painted and another week. When I arrived to pick up my car the second time the paint job was awesome. Upon further examination found my brand new custom head lights had chips around the edge of one and big long scratch through the middle of another. When I went to complain this time the so called sales manager was sent out to talk to me. He insisted that the damage was done by me before I even brought the car to them. I then told him that I have pictures of the headlights installed on the car the day I brought it in to be that were date coded with no damage. At that point he became augmentative so what you want me to buy so more headlights then? Which I replied yes if that's how you see fit to make the situation right. Which seem to infuriate him more seemed like it was it about to get physical. I asked to speak to his boss an was told they want be back until next week and it was Thursday. I then ask him have you not heard the customer is always right hoping to stir some resemblance customer service in him. Which he promptly replied the customer is not right I knew nothing would be resolved speaking with this individual and was still not allowed speak with his boss. He asked was I going to take my car or what? Which I replied yes he then without cause stated well your not taking this car without paying. This was totally out of left field. I always had every intention of paying my bill. It just fact I had an issue with the quality of the work done and was totally dis-respected as a customer. LaTonya Smith gave me a reasonable price and said I would have a two year warranty. She gave me the advertised discount I told her about. LaTonya even went a little further and told me about another discount that I could receive. I did what she suggested and now my estimate is lower than I expected. I took my car to MAACO on Jan. 11, 2017 to get it repaired from the damages that occurred to it from a Penske trailer breaking while we were towing it. I went to MAACO before I dropped it off to get an estimate of damages so that I could send them to Penske to pay for the repairs. While I was there I noticed that when she pulled up the grille that the molding around it, which was cracked on my car, was not showing. So, I asked her about it and she said oh it's included. Well okay, she does this for a living she should know, right? When I dropped my car off on the 11th of January I was told it would take 3-5 business days to repair. I was told they would try to have it done closer to 3 business days but it all depended on when the parts would come in. When I hadn't heard anything by the 18th of Jan. I called to check on the status of my car they said they were still waiting on the parts to arrive. Great! A phone call would have been nice if you are not going to be able to do get my car back to me in the time frame that you said that it would be in. I understand delays but communication is nice. A couple of more days go by and I still haven't heard anything from them yet. So, I call them on the 23rd of Jan. and they tell me that my parts have just arrived and that they can have my car done and ready to be picked up the next day, the 24th. I get a call on the 24th telling me that my car is ready to be picked up. Well after I get my car home I notice that the molding around the grille is still cracked it wasn't even replaced! Great! I call them up and tell them they forgot to install the piece and was told to bring it by so that they could look at. She looks at it and lo and behold that molding piece comes separately, go figure. I tell her that the Grille didn't even need to be replaced and my concern was the molding around it. She then tells me that the grille had MAJOR cracks in it, really? so I pull up the pics on my phone zoom in so much that I can see dirt specs and say no, they were no cracks in the grille. I show her and she says, oh well, they must have been to small for the camera to pick up. So, she finds the piece that actually needed to be replaced and proceeds to tell me that it would be an additional $130, no I'm sorry this was not my mistake it was yours and I pointed that out to her. She then asks me for Penske's info so that she could send the another estimate and see if they would pay for it. Mind you this is early in the morning when I give her the info. and I never heard back from her. So I call the next day and ask about it and she says, yeah they will cover it. Well, where was my phone call telling me this??? So, she says she will call me when the part comes in. The part came in on the 30th of Jan. and tells me that it will take about 15 min. tops to put on. I drive all the way over to the shop only for her mechanic to tell me that it will take at least an hour because he would have to drop the bumper in order to get the molding piece on. So, I couldn't get it fixed until the 2nd of Feb. when my husband was off to be able to drop my car off and then be able to bring me back to pick it up. This place lacks some serious communication with between them and the customer and will not own up to their mistakes. I am thankfully penske went ahead and picked up the cost for the part that was actually damaged but they should not have, MAACO should have been responsible for that, since they replaced a part that didn't even need to be replaced to begin with, even after I had asked questions about it. I get that parts don't always come in when you expect them to but a phone letting a customer know that you are still waiting for the parts would be GREAT. Two weeks without a car is a long time especially when you were only expecting 5 business days at the most. read more

My experience at Maaco located on skibo rd. was very pleasant. The paint job was nicely done and $3000 cheaper than anyone else in town. The only complaints that I have are the location of the shop and after having my vehicle for a week, they still did not have all the replacement decals for my vehicle. I will have to come back after picking up my vehicle to have the decal put on. The employees at this Maaco were extremely nice and easy to get along with.
