That's something else that makes it unique; get your art and books on art in the same location! Even though the only "artsy-craftsy" thing I do is knit, it is always a pleasure to check out the sketchpads, pens and other supplies. They also have stationery. I always find something to buy in this store simply because it seems to have different titles than the big-box stores. Also, because it's on the Island, it has books by their local authors you simply won't find anywhere else. I found a delightful "Winnie The Pooh" book from the 50's that was very fairly priced for its condition and age. They're not priced to move - the books here are priced aggressively, and rightly so! It's a town where many a tourist passes through, ready to spend their money. I was all too happy to help stimulate the local economy and bring home to NYC a book I'll treasure for years to come.

It has an excellent selection of books, a mixture of used books and new books, the new book collection having a very strong mixture of Island-related books both fiction and non-fiction.
