Several cars of school kids arrived at about the same time to get a close-up look at sheep farming. This is a working farm with lots of lambs having just made their appearance and a lot of mama sheep nursing. It was a delightful scene, and everyone was invited to pet the little ones. Next door is the wool shop, and we found there a lot of delightful wool items made at the farm. We wound up admiring a lot of the merchandise and buying two attractive wool hats to keep us warm in wintry Connecticut and a skein of wool, all of high quality and quite reasonably priced. They also provide useful easy-to-follow instructions on how to take care of your purchases. Lismore is hardly on a main route, but if you are in this area and in need of woolen supplies it's worth a visit. The kids should enjoy it, too.

I'd only recommend if you purchase natural/homemade products or natural tea remedies, or are just starting with witchcraft and want to buy crystals or MAYBE incense but I'd just go to a different store. What we enjoy most about the store is that it is a small, family owned business, and all their knives are made right here in Nova Scotia. The office/factory is a two-storey building with one big show room downstairs where all the knives are sold, and a factory upstairs where the knives are made. The knives are very reasonably priced (e.g., $30 for a hunting knife) and the store also offers a selection of "seconds knives" which are slightly imperfected knives sold at a significantly reduced cost.

They don't answer the phones, the e-mails, they never call back. Mr Grohmann is spinning in his grave with such successors.

When you first arrive, you're immediately greeted by bursts of bright colours all over the the buildings, especially bursts of purple! You can peek into Mabel's house, check out the chickens, horses or Willow the donkey, sit under the old apple tree or visit the book shop with its glittery floor! The shop offers a big selection of children's books, but has a selection of books for adults too. The mall is well maintained, but lacks any aesthetic charm for the kiddies - no fountains, for example. There is a small arcade, which I'm sure any kid would be eager to visit.
