Was SO DISAPPOINTED I had scheduled an appointment to have my makeup done a month ago for a special event.. I even confirmed the day before- The day of the event I called to confirm with the artist and I get told that she was out that day! The girl who answered the phone behaved as if it was no big deal, she said that somebody else can do my make up. I explained to her that this particular artist had been doing my make up for years. I did not want somebody else and why hadn't that person had the decency to contact me (text, email) since they do it for when they are trying to sell their stuff. At first, I thought it would be OK - (bc I really wanted to have my make up done)but the girl was so rude. She had no customer service and behaved as if I owed her an apology. But she hung up on me. I called her back and she said she was having phone problems canceled and said I did not deserve this. I have been a loyal customer there for several years and cannot believe that I was not given the decency to have been told that basically my appt. Was cancelled w/ my artist. She knew my name and knew I had an appointment today. It was so disgusting. I ended up not going. She should've apologized on behalf of her staff person. so to everybody out there you need to call and confirm because other people I've spoken to. It's not the first time it's happened. read more

I was looking for a mustard colored shadow. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it here but I got great customer service. The lady working took the time to go through the store with me to look for the shadow I wanted. She showed me different shadows I may like. I really appreciated her taking the time. So I went in there knowing I was just going to buy macara and some matte lip stick. I noticed. A beauty technician would like the the do my make up. So I let Miguel do it, he did a nice job. I couldn't be more pleased with all the staff and all the products that I am going to play with this new found make up. When I was 22-27 Mac is what I use to purchased. I rarely write reviews but the customer service I received from May at this store was beyond outstanding! I was looking for a particular color in MAC acrylic paint which unfortunately is being discontinued. After speaking to MAC customer support, it was suggested I contact some of the MAC stores in my area to see if they had any inventory. I happened to call the MAC store at The Collection at RiverPark first. May answered the phone and when I explained what I needed not only did she search the database for any MAC Pro stores that might have inventory but she called the ones that did, spoke to their staff, had them set aside the acrylic paint for me and let them know I would be calling to place my order. She then called me back with the phone numbers and contact names. I now have the paint being shipped to me from various stores in NY and CA thanks to the effort of this wonderful lady. I can't even thank her enough for all that she did. All of this transpired by phone not in person. MAC Cosmetics and this store should be grateful to have May working for them, it's one thing to get great customer service in person. It goes above and beyond when you get outstanding customer service without ever meeting the person! read more

Love this store. It is always clean. I am always quickly greeted and the staff is always helpful. My last few visits have been with Luz, who is very patient with my decision making (I do take forever choosing shadows :/ ). The girls often help me decide which colors go best, see what I've gotten in the past so I dont double buy and I always get compliments on the colors I end up with. I always leave this spot happy. My friend had a lipstick she adored, but the color was no longer available, but May helped us find a terrific replacement. She also introduced me to a great eyepencil. Very Happy with Claudia's services today-- She did makeup for my birthday which i loved! really listened & showed me how to apply. just know that a 60min session costs $60 and you get a free mascara of choice...unfortunately, none of that fee goes towards makeup purchases & they don't make that clear in-store or online! (90 minute session=$90 ) in that regard--sephora is a much better deal plus their Birthday discounts! MAC totally needs to work on this to make it worth 5 stars. read more

I've got to give them 5 stars. The makeup is good, quite expensive but it works well. I think this is the only brand that I've liked since starting to wear makeup. Which I don't wear often and still don't think I put it on right but, I don't have a clown line when I'm done. But my review is for Edi. She scared me at first when I went to get a makeover for my wedding and it just wasn't meshing until she kept going and she made me look beautiful. She did everything I wanted, natural, light makeup, and a small cat eye. I do recommend her if you are going to get your face beat. She's good. When you make your session, make sure they have at least two people on staff. I requested a non interrupted session and ended up with one that was only because they didn't schedule another worker. Luckily it rained and not AS many customers came in and I was done in time. Either way you are going to have to spend $50 or $60 can't remember to get a make over. Made an appointment at my new local MAC to have my makeup done for a special occasion ( and as in local that means I can walk here, soooo happy). Everyone was so great. I was greeted promptly and was notified I would be helped shortly. I was so excited that the lovely Tamika would be doing my makeup. Tamika has a wonderful personality and definitely put me at ease. I always get nervous when someone I DON'T know is doing my makeup but she certainly knows what's she's doing. I didn't give her much to go on because I usually don't even know what I want but once I showed her my dress and the color she knew exactly what to do. Here's a tip. She also has this great technique of putting on false eyelashes so I had no clue they were there. False eyelashes normally feel heavy and weird but she has a great way of making you feel like they are your own eyelashes. I walked out a happy customer and of course was the belle of the ball. Thanks Tamika I wouldn't have been able to pull it off without you! All in all the store was clean, the staff was professional and know their stuff. It's a nice change from going to Ulta around the corner where it's usually messy and most of the staff doesn't know their stuff. I love Mac make up and I really love their service at this locations. All the ladies are so nice and helpful including a gentleman (name Joey I believe?) ! The store size is just right and so well organized. If you need help just ask it is totally worth it. They take their time to explain the usage and benefits of the product. If you have concerns just express it and they always have alternative option available. I have extremely sensitive skin espeically when removing make up but I found their new pink remover wipes to be the best!!!I am just so happy that there is Mac store near me! read more

I needed to write to tell you about an amazing in store experience. I am a really insecure/shy person and most of that stemms from a constantly broken out face for over half my life now. I had been managing my appearance with other brands but for the past few weeks I had been on a mission to find something that makes me feel like myself. This was an exhausting task because in store after store I felt like I was being talked into things and I kept ending up with foundations that were dramatically not my color. Today I ran into Tamika and she made me a customer for life. She helped me find what I would look like if I wasn't always broken out, a skin tone I haven't seen in years. She asked questions about my skin that I hadn't been asked before and it lead to amazing results. Thank you so much Tamika! I'm a single mom, with 5 kids and in order to give each child some much needed, quality, alone time I rotate giving each their own"date night". Well on Friday it was my 13 yr. old, Franklins, turn and he really wanted to try Larsens. After we were going to the movies but he noticed my favorite store finally opened and insisted we go check it out. Upon entering we were immediately and warmly greeted as well as offered help by three beautiful ladies with picture perfect makeup. I let them know we are just looking around and didn't need help (because I knew I'd gone way over my budget at dinner and didn't want to waste their time). After a few minutes Ms. Erika checked back on me as did Ms.Sara but not in an annoying, pushy way. Simply letting me know about upcoming promos and new collections. Erika told us about the single eyeshadow you can buy to build your own pallette for only $6.00, and my son had some money saved up and insisted on buying me an eyeshadow. It was obvious we weren't going to be big spenders but they still gave us such amazing customer service and more importantly they treated my son with such kindness and Sara really made him feel so important when she rang up his purchase, that it truly made our date night so special. He left that store with such confidence that it made my heart swell with pride and joy. Also I purchased a gel liner and wasn't able to purchase a brush so I tried keeping the little sample brush I'd used to try it on (ghetto, I know but I actually looooved how well it applied the liner lol) and Sara noticed and didn't skip a beat in offering me a clean new one to take home instead. I got home and was surprised with not just one but a few little brushes, which may not seem like a big deal but it's those small acts of kindness and customer service that makes this by far the BEST MAC store and the only one I'll go to from now on. :) thank you ladies, you may not have known it but you truly made Franklin and my date night even better then we thought it would be! read more
