Formally Old Shell Market. The new owners have done a few updates and the produce is always fresh. I have been offered help or asked if I was looking for anything in particular, I feel if I had been, they would have got it in for me. Their prices beat the grocery stores and I have found they have the cheapest Conecuh Sausage. Definitely worth stopping at even if it just for one or two things. read more

I order multiple cases of kale weekly from Mac's. The manager of the store just told me she didn't want my business to go somewhere else. She just hollered at me and chewed me out. The employees last week could not figure out how to run my card over the phone. The owner told me I could pay for all four cases on Saturday. They charged my girls for a case on Friday. Then charged me for all of them again on Saturday. They owe me a case of kale. She claims that I am always rude to the workers in the store. I have never, ever had a problem before today. I would like for the owner of the store to return my call. I would like the owner to know why he lost $400 worth of business a month. read more

I was verbally assaulted in the parking lot of Old Shell Market on September 19, 2019. The man almost hit my car and then jumped out and started yelling and cussing at me. I went in to talk to the manager, David Spencer, about it as this man was already in the store. The manager rolled his eyes at me and said what do you want me to do about it. I then contacted the owner, Mat Sumlin, online and explained the incident in detail and his manager's response and recieved no reply. I came in to Old Shell Market to buy some produce and didn't notice anything off. When I came home and opened the bag roaches ran out. I'm not sure if the roaches were from the bag or the produce itself but it is surely a sign of filth and I won't be back. I called the manager to tell him what had happened but he hung up on me. I'm disappointed in the lack of concern regarding uncleanliness. Quality and customer service seem to have taken a nose dive as of recently. read more

The few times I have been here all the produce was fresh and tasted very good, also lasted longer than grocery stores. Which is always a plus. Prices are very reasonable as well. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants fresh produce. read more
