They have a really selection of wines and spirits that we didn't expect to find which was a big plus! We got a bourbon we had been looking for since Louisville and they had it here! Score! Macadoodles employees don't wear masks. I wrote to the company regarding this issue but never got a reply. The last time I visited (and I mean the LAST), I was wearing a mask and the person checking me out was rude - I don't know if it was a mask issue or not - just an observation. Why don't employees wear a mask? Does the company not care about it's customers? Walmart, Sam's Club, Lowes, etc. employees wear masks. This is a serious time and this virus needs to be taken seriously. I don't know how good this review will do since the previous ones back up what I am about to say! But I'll write this review from a person who has a broken leg. I don't care too much for hard liquor, so I went straight to the back to were the imported beer was at. A very nice selection of imports that you can not get anywhere else. I have a friend that want's me to try a Guatemala beer. Although they do not have any Guatemalan beer, I found out that they do have twelve pack of Dos Equis, Mexican beer. I've only seen this in six pack which was pretty much unique to see! They also had same thing in Red Stripe, Jamaican beer! Also, since I currently have a broken, the store-to-car delivery was very nice. Heck if I had a dollar I would have tipped him! But it's good all around! When you're from Oklahoma, visiting a liquor, grocery, or convenience store in another state (except Utah) is always a trip. Just seeing a refrigerated case with something besides 3.2 beer in it is exciting. I rarely visit actual liquor stores because you can find what you need at the 7-11 or CVS. I wanted to pick up some wine in Joplin yesterday and my family recommended I check out Macadoodles. It was amazing! There is a huge selection of everything including mixers, cheese, bar tools, and gifts - none of which can be sold in OK liquor stores. When I came upon the wine tasting station I nearly passed out! I tried several wines including a delightful Rosé which was perfect for dinner that night. Every employee I saw asked if I was finding everything OK. You can hit the CVS and grab some wine in Missouri but if you can visit a Macadoodles instead I highly recommend it. It'll be an experience if you live in a state with antiquated liquor laws like I do! read more

Always a must stop heading from OK to the Ozark's. A small chain of liquor stores in this part of MO that is always fully stocked, professional, friendly staff and a great selection for this region. They offer liquor samples at certain times and days of the week. Now they have opened up a small cheese section in the back side of the store with samples available. Hey, moving up in the world. OMG ... This is a fabulous place to buy your weekend party supplies. Or your midweek relax-after-work supplies. Or your what-the-hell, it's-noon-on-a-Tuesday and I-just-wanna-get-my-drank-on supplies. I'm in town to visit my sister for the first time since her big move to Joplin, and one of the first places she takes me is this Adult Beverage Disneyland. I was truly impressed by the selection. They have a lot of anything and everything that contains alcohol. I almost passed out when I saw that they had such a wide selection of Sake! SAKE! In Joplin, MO! The staff was very helpful. They had booths where they offered samples of various wines and beers. They had a section of munchies, crackers, cheese, etc ... Best in Joplin. They have a huge selection of beers, wines, and liquor including hard to find varieties. The wine staff is particularly knowledgeable but all departments are helpful. Average prices, reasonable sales, military discount (10% off anything not already marked down) and gas discounts on Wednesdays. They also have a case store with serious discounts though I've never been over there. If you need wine chilled they do it for free in a cooling bath in about 7 to ten minutes. The mixers are over priced though. Just run up the hill to Walmart or a block south to Wallgreens for any juice, limes, sodas, etc you might need. read more

I stop and browse everytime I'm in Joplin (which isn't often). They have an awesome selection of beverages (still no Patron espresso though); you can find something here to like. The prices are hit and miss - generally speaking - on the high side, but their sales are great! $15 for a litre bottle of Captain Morgans LIME flavored rum. Always stop at the wine tasting station and usually it convinces me to take home a new bottle of something. They also have cheese and meat there; we always leave with something new from the cheese area. They also have a humidor which is stocked OK but not like the beverages. My husband likes them big and stinky so we'll stick to Feericks for the sticks. This is the only place to go if you like to shop for different tastes. read more

Wow, was I in for a surprise when I stepped in MacAdoodles. It's hard to tell by looking at the store from the outside but they have a huuuuuge selection. I honestly can't believe a store like this is here in Joplin. I walked into the store just wanting to look around and see what they had and the people working the in store immediately came up to me and asked me what I was looking for. The staff all seemed really knowledgeable and had good suggestions when I told them that I wanted to pair it with dinner. One lady started talking to me about Francis Ford Coppola and what kind of wines he liked... aha. They also have like a mini-bar in the middle of the wine selection where you can try the wines and the cheeses. They actually have a great cheese selection which you might not notice because it's pretty easy to glance over. They also have a pretty decent selection of imported beers/wines. I saw sake, soju, etc. The customer service here is great and I would definitely come back again the next time I'm looking for wine. read more

We were disappointed in the selection of 'build your own six pack' beers. There were maybe about a dozen from which to choose and they were basically crappy uninteresting beers. There was a sign not to take beers from any other area to fill your six pack. If they are having a problem with people doing that it should be a clue that they need to expand their selection. OMG! This is the adult Toys R Us!!! Seriously if you want anything with alcohol in it, from high end wine and liquor to poop you pants cheap beer, this is the place to go. I could have spent many hours here if my wallet would allow me. The store is clean, staff very personable and knowledgeable about all the products. Super rude. Lie about what bottles they have. Refuse to sell certain bottles because they want to hold them for certain people. Will not ever be doing business with them ever again. I fell in love with Macadoodles at their Arkansas location on the way to the lake. Recently, they have opened a new one in Joplin, MO. The store is great for wine tastings and the selection, but the prices are usually more expensive than I can find them at Dillon's, May's, Feerick's, and Sam's. Because of that, I really only go there for wine tastings or to find an obscure item I'm looking for. It's very clean and the staff is very knowledgeable. read more

This store is amazing. I would not have expected to find a store like this in Joplin, MO. Their liquor selection is almost endless and the prices are competitive. They may not be the cheapest on every single item, but they aren't going to scalp you either. On weekend evenings the store is a great place to browse and they have a bar set up in the center where you can try various mixers and such. It seems like this store only hires experienced people, which is a major benefit in my opinion. I don't have time to deal with incompetent people or snotty attitudes and Macadoodles that's never been a problem. Cashiers are eager to help! The wine and cheese section is gorgeous, well staffed, and classy. The store itself is really pretty for a liquor store, polished wood (laminate? who cares) floors, and so on. I was very disappointed in this place, I live in Wichita and was driving thru Joplin on a trip to Roaring River . I called the Joplin store and specifically ask the employee answering the phone if they had any 12 Year Old W L Wellers. I was told by the employee they had it in stock and so I stopped to buy some a week later. WL Wellars was not to be found, I ask the lady working at the counter about it and she replied we haven't had Wellers for two months. I suspect the guy that said they had it lied just to get me in the store. Also, I purchased the Macadoodles brand of Whiskey and it just flat sucks.
