The space comfortably accommodated around 90 guests, along with a DJ, photobooth, snack cart, and even a soft play area for the kids without feeling cramped. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and easy for guests to access, which made a big difference when hosting a larger group. Everything ran smoothly, and the venue worked well for the kind of celebration we envisioned. One downside was parking--there happened to be a farmers market at the same time, which significantly reduced the parking availability we had planned for our guests. I do wish we had been given a heads-up about that in advance so we could have prepared accordingly. We just hosted our baby shower at MCC, and honestly, we couldn't have picked a better venue. We had over 80 guests, and the space was more than enough--everything felt comfortable and never crowded. Maria was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was responsive, kind, and sent us super clear, detailed instructions a few days before the event on how to access the building and use everything, which helped calm a lot of first-time-host nerves. The location was another big win. There was plenty of parking both on the street and in the lot, and so many of our guests commented on how nice the area was and how spacious the venue felt. The space itself has everything you need--a kitchen, men's and women's restrooms, a bar area, plus tables and chairs you can borrow. That made planning our first baby shower so much easier and way less stressful. We also really appreciated that the building has an elevator, which was a huge help for friends bringing strollers. So glad I came across MCC! I had my baby shower here recently. Maria was super easy to work with. She made sure all my questions were answered and that everything was set for the event. They provide 17 6-foot tables, 3 3-foot round tables and 95 chairs. It was perfect for my event of around 85 people. The bathrooms are super clean and easily accessible from the ballroom. The kitchen was a plus as we were able to put extra food and other extra set up stuff hidden in there. The ballroom is easily accessible for those who have wheelchairs or in our case, we had lots of babies/toddlers in strollers lol. You can enter through the courtyard and the elevator will take you to the 2nd floor directly into the ballroom. So convenient! Maria gives very clear instructions on how to enter and what is expected of you as a renter. Throughout the venue there are kind reminders posted on the walls, which was very very helpful! Our party started at 1pm on a Saturday, which initially we were concerned about because Niles has a farmer's market from 9a-1pm. But there was still ample parking BEHIND the farmer's market and also street parking. We heard zero complaints from any of our guests regarding parking. Didn't have time to take much photos but overall, my baby shower came together as I expected and more, thanks to my family and friends that came early to help. Maria was very responsive and communicative from the start and had no issues whatsoever with booking, etc. Greta venue space with plenty of tables and chairs. There's a kitchen available for use for a small additional fee, good amount of stalls for the restroom, great lighting and even an elevator if none of your guest or even yourself want to take the stairs! Definitely would recommend this space for anyone looking to book a small or large ish event. I believe capacity is 100 but without the table, the space is pretty spacious. I hosted my husband's surprise birthday here this past weekend. Everything went smoothly. Initial quote: I reached out to Maria in regards to availability and cost. Everything was affordable and event time was perfect for our party. Venue: After making the deposit, I was able to view the venue ahead of time. After opening the front entrance, you walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor or take the elevator. It's an older building but the elevator looks brand new. There are men and women's bathroom in the hallway, outside of the venue space. They have a small kitchen, bar area, and the hall area. It is above the Niles Ice Cream Shop. AC/Heater is provided. Great lighting. There are cameras in the hall. Must be out by 10pm. Process: After speaking/texting/emailing with Maria, I was able to make my deposit and all the necessary contacts were made over the phone/text/emails. She was very accommodating as long as you have communication. This is a great hall to have a party. My guests had enough space for 90 people and they loved the Niles area. We tried not to be too loud as the floors are not insulated and the ice cream shop can hear the loud noises. Therefore, live bands are not allowed but DJ is ok - as long as it's on a specific side of the hall area. But so far, no complaints from the ice cream shop. Overall, I'd have another event here. Had my baby shower here a couple weeks ago and it was the best decision I made. Maria is super helpful taking you through the process of renting out the MCC Hall. Her communication skills are above & beyond, she's super fast at replying to any questions you may have. Everything was nice and clean, the hall is a nice size for specific events like a baby shower or get togethers which involve less than 100 people. The kitchen was a great help to use during the baby shower so if you plan on having a buffet style party, I'd suggest renting out the kitchen as well. I had paid extra to have them setup the tables and chairs and it was great because it saved us a lot of time in decorating. Maria also sends you RULES on what to do/what not to do during your event and how to put everything back and keep it clean after your event. Booking the MCC Hall with Maria saved me A LOT of stress.. I really wanted to have my babyshower at my apartment complex's rooftop lounge but also kinda wanted it to be away from where I lived so I looked into having it at a hall somewhere locally. The hall is decent and provides tables which is a plus. Area outside of the kitchen smelled like a dirty bathroom upon arrival. We had to bring in plug-in air fresheners to mask this smell. But everything else was ok. After the party it was time to send the deposit back and $300 of the $500 deposit was deducted. The main thing she charged me for she said that all the toilet seat covers were pulled and thrown in the toilet which never happened then after I told her that we looked at the bathroom before we left she said the toilets were clogged with toilet seat covers, tissue, and a diaper/pad. I'm pretty sure that this was just built up over time and the costs of the plumber just had to fall on me. So essentially I was charged $300 because the chairs were stacked up in 2 corners of the hall instead of 1, apparently 1/3 of the AC units was left on, and we forgot to roll the recycling bin outside. (We did clean the whole hall, brought all the trash down and put all empty bottles/cans in the recycling bin as directed but just forgot to bring the recycle bin out after.) The cleaning fee is $150 so we really could have just not cleaned the place and paid this instead. We really just did the job for the cleaner. I'm totally fine with paying if things were damaged but this wasn't the case and what was deducted just seems unreasonable to me. I was charged $300 for this which would have been the same cost for a whole day/night in a brand new luxury rooftop lounge that has a bigger capacity + kitchen. This place costed $800, you need to pay for event insurance, and also an additional $100 to use the kitchen. This is fine especially since I wanted to have my party away from where I lived however the additional cost after made me regret having it elsewhere. read more

Maria was so nice and very helpful! She was so easy to work with and replied fast. I booked for 7 hours but needed an extra hour so I texted Maria and she gave me the okay really fast. The space is big and can be utilized in different ways. We chose to clean ourselves and cleaning supplies were available along with a code to the dumpster in the courtyard. This made the cleaning process smooth. There is A/C available incase you need it. I was able to fit a DJ and 360 Photobooth in the hall. We live next door. Today we tried to leave our driveway but the caterer's van was blocking our driveway. Finally it was moved. When we came back home, guests for an event used our driveway as a parking lot. While the manager is not responsible for inconsideration on part of caterers and guests, they could have reminded them to not block or, even worse, park someone's home's driveway. We booked the venue on September 10 to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday. It was a great decision. The venue is perfect. Big enough but intimate. The place is super clean both the hall and bathrooms. The kitchen is clean and there are trashes with liners available to use. I also like that they have recycle trash containers. Maria was so helpful from day 1 I booked and answered all our questions. I love that there is air conditioning and elevator. I paid extra for cleaning and all we did is take down the decorations, take out trashes and put the chairs up on the set up tables. Easy and convenient. We found the Macau Cultural Center on Yelp. Our inquiry email was answered promptly and we viewed the place that weekend. Maria, who coordinates the rental of the facility is awesome! She is very professional, efficient and a pleasure to work with. Your email, text or calls are quickly responded to and she is excellent in keeping in touch with you. The Center has everything you need. A full kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, microwave, beverage bar with sink, ample outlets, elevator, tables and chairs. There's a free parking lot across the street. The Niles Farmer's Market is held there on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. all year round. Just something to note when planning the time of your event. To reserve the Center, a deposit is required and full payment is due a month before your event date. After your event, the security deposit will be returned to you in a matter of days. You don't have to wait weeks as with some other establishments. I highly recommend the Macau Cultural Center! My family is HUGE, so I was a little worried about the size of the hall -- I'm pretty certain we had a little over 100 guests and we fit just fine.
