Do not go to this place, they will over charge the heck out of you, and gives you a different price to pay... until you check your account the next morning, .. understand ur paying the Taxes too.. they wont give that amount , cost me 20 bucks in taxes, but they don't tell you that.. only the total for fixing yr phone, then check yr bank account , the price is much higher, Don't go there! read more

I brought my MacBook in due to my screen going black. I was told that even though the computer was under a limited warranty, Apple would not warranty screen issues that are from damage. Mind you that this machine was in a protective case since leaving the original box so the screen was never damaged causing the issue. I was told repeatedly that the screen would not be warranted and I was looking at $600+ to repair it whether I shipped it to apple or them doing it at Maccentric. I left, contacted Apple, shipped my computer to the on a Friday and had it back Sunday with a brand new WARRANTED screen. Wow, this place is ran by an owner that will be so loud about your personal business from your phone. Everyone in the lobby could everything going on. I mean isn't your phone a private thing?? He was Very rude when I quietly asked him to please keep his voice down about my private business, he asked me to leave. I had 2 very unusual experiences with this business. My first encounter with this business, in my opinion, proved the person at the counter needs to be replaced with someone that is friendly and offers customer service. When I entered the store, I saw a lady was struggling to carry a very large computer and the salesperson squeezing/forcing her receipt between her fingers and her computer. She was trying very hard not to drop her computer. The person at the counter didn't offer to help her to her car, open the door or anything. No help or customer service. My second encounter was when my friend dropped off her laptop only to be told (by the same grumpy guy) it was too old to have the battery replaced. My friend said she had just returned from speaking to someone at an Apple store in New Orleans and the battery could be replaced. The guy at the counter told us 3 or 4 times it could not be changed, then charged us $249 to replace the battery. Go figure. Finally, after my friend picked up her computer and brought it home it would not power up. Back to the store again and the same guy tried to tell her the problem was because of her power cord and told her to go buy one from Best Buy. When she finally convinced the repair guy to look at it again, he found he needed to reset something he had done. My advise, try somewhere else or a real Apple store in Dallas, Baton Rouge or New Orleans. read more

Over the past few years, Maccentric has fixed my two Macbooks and, most recently, my iPhone. The Macbooks were covered by AppleCare, and I had them back within a couple of days even though they had to order parts. Maccentric took care of everything, and I didn't pay a penny. I dropped off my iPhone on Black Friday this year, and they replaced my top button in a couple of hours and for a very reasonable price.
