Great selection and availability for active members and dependents. Pricing is good with no sales tax but I've found better prices on a handful of items elsewhere. Very good give-backs to the local community. Online website is good and shipping and delivery is also good. I'd love to say everything is great but the pricing compared to local community is just slightly better. It's hard to justify the drive for the wee bit of savings unless you're living on base. I'm a proud and grateful Air Force brat-born on base-lived all over the world-loved every second of it. Dad happily served 30 years and we love being a military family. Going to the main exchange (BX) has been a family tradition, all my life. We've been on a continual quest to try to get to all of them. Since I've lived in Tampa, we've gone to MacDill every time my parents visit. MacDill's has always been good-and after dropping in with Mom in June of 2023, I can delightedly say: it's even better than ever! All Main Exchanges carry a variety of items. They're similar to Target: clothes, electronics, household goods, jewelry, toiletries, etc etc. MacDill's is especially large and well-stocked. There's a big shoe department-appliances-Yankee candles-I could have gone wild!! It's clean, bright, nicely arranged. It was so much fun to roll around with a cart and look at everything. I think Mom and I will have to back next week! Ample parking, plenty of check-outs, huge variety... yay! MacDill BX, I salute you... and I'll see you soon! read more

Large exchange with a variety of shopping options from Clothes, electronics, food and amenities. It's very clean and prices. are reasonable. There are eating places in the outside with multiple vendors who are selling military gear and souvenirs. read more

Standard BX with similar selections. Coming from Nellis AFB, I was surprised see the limited selections. The facility is currently under remodeling, but that was for the expansion of the hallways outside the exchange itself. Here are my observations: -Barbershop staff are awesome, but the facility itself is extremely small. There is only 8 waiting chairs and 7 barber chairs. -Foodcourt has Charley's Philly Steak, Taco Bell, and Subway. They do have additional restaurants coming in. -Plenty of vendors in the tight hallways who are selling phone and iPad covers. - BX itself, they have a small gun and electronics sections. read more

This PX is smaller than most that I have been to in the past, but I do like coming there and checking things out when I'm in the area. I'm glad that I have the privilege of being able to still go on base after leaving the military. It's definitely a blessing to still be able to use the facilities. read more

This is a pretty good base exchange. It has definitely gotten better over the years and you can tell they're trying to make it nice. The exchange has a lot to offer whether it's clothes, electronics, home goods, furniture, and has little local shops down the main hall. They always have really good sales on clothes & electronics. The Black Friday deals are awesome as well especially since it's not as busy as most other stores. The best part about the exchange is that it's tax free which really comes in handy when you're buying high prices items. The exchange also has a gun store in the back that is always having sales as well. The gentleman that work there are super friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason why I'm giving it a 4 & not 5 is because the service in the main bx isn't always the best but I'm not worried about it. They have a lot to deal with especially with this base being such a huge retiree location so it's always busy throughout the day. read more

A decent size Air Force Base Military Exchange for the Military personal and families to come to to either buy electronics, weapons, ammunition/accessories, clothing, cologne/perfume and lady make up, jewelery and much much more. Also there is electric carts that are available for the person who needs extra assistance while your shopping and there is also shopping carts to put your items inside the buggy so you don't have to hold on to them while you shop. Also, there is other setup show cases and stores right before you enter the Exchange just look to your right and left side you'll see them. Over all experience you'll find a lot of great bargains here at the Military Exchange. read more

We always stay and shop at Macdill inn and the Exchange when we in the area and they have availability at the Inn. I'm happy I'm allowed to shop and stay on the base after getting out. The BX usually has some awesome deals and plus can always order their or on line if it is not in stock. I've found everyone that works there to be always friendly and helpful. Among other Exchanges that I've been to, this one is ok. This base is far out, so I've only been to the BX in the evening. It is never crowded, however the employees aren't that helpful. On my latest visit, I purchased some baby items and just happened to look at their baby formula and 2 tubs had an expiration date of NOVEMBER 2015. I was shocked. I don't ever see any employees stocking, so maybe that's why they haven't checked the dates on their items. I took them both up to the front to inform the employees and the cashier at first looked at me as if saying "why are you telling me". I just hope all parents will check the dates on these baby items, and any other food items they sale to avoid any sickness. read more

They don't always advertise it but they have some amazing deals especially when it comes to clothing so keep your eyes open the customer service here is wonderful and one of my favorite things to do is people watch....... because of one of the commands on the base in Central Command there are a whole bunch of different countries militaries stationed here And represented on the base I enjoy seen all the different uniforms and flags around the store read more

So this is the exchange, which is like a Walmart for those who are new to this. A little bit of everything can be found here under one roof. This particular one is a decent size, and their selection of items is ok. I rarely shop here as it is out of the way from where I live, but when I want to escape from my desk and office during the workday, it is just a few buildings over. Prices for the items that I've seen(mostly fishing gear) are in the same neighborhood as those off base, but it is tax free and they do price match. We were able to buy an ipad here at the Target sale price by bringing in the ad. Also of note inside this same complex but a few doors down is the class 6/package store, which caters to all of your alcoholic needs. They do carry a selection of local beers as well as liquors and wines from all over the world. All in all this exchange is not a bad place to shop or to kill a bunch of time. read more

I come here for the groceries. The drive is a little long but I only do it once a month. And each time I do it's definitely worth it. I feel super special because not everyone has the privilege to shop on base but because of my husband's service in the military I do. I find super deals on meat, toiletries, fruit, vegetables and other things. The grocery store is super clean but crowded unless you go early in the morning. I highly recommend going early in the morning that's not always the case for me as I may have other things to do but no worries the deals will be there in the afternoon also. The staff generally is super nice , there's a lady in the meat department I don't know her name but she's awesome and she will help you with anything and keep you abreast on all the sales go to the meat department and find her . O the the bathrooms are clean I use bathrooms everywhere I go so take it from me they are clean. read more
