This Macy's is pretty sad. They don't have a nice selection. It's almost like the leftovers from other stores.

Customer service at this location is lacking. Management should really teach its employees some common curtesy and to value its customers. I have been a Macy's member and enjoy the rewards program for years. I have never had an issue with Macy's until today. At the end of the day, the employee and their behavior impact the overall experience the customer has. Never again will I return to this location. So let me just start with my daughter had the worst morning on her Prom Night. She had a make-up appt with an independent makeup artist and she canceled last minute. My daughter was so stressed out, she seriously cried all morning. I said let's give it a shot and we went to Macy's, to the Mac store. We encountered a few Mac workers, one being YoYo(Yolanda) and explained the dilemma and without incident she was so empathetic and took My daughter right away! She was so sweet to my daughter and not to mention the incredible job she did on my daughter and also had us out of there in an hour! YoYo you seriously saved the day and kept a beautiful smile on my daughters face all day and night! read more

This is one of the few places I shop in the High Desert, it usually has nice items and the customer service is, for the most part, decent. I do think there are some better prices at JCPenny, but this has different things as well and is worth your business. read more

Worst customer service! So slow and there's never anyone to help you at the makeup counters

I went to do an exchange on a purse I got as a Christmas gift, they didn't have the purse in stock at the store so I was told I could order it and have it shipped to my house... in order to get free shipping I had to return the purse as a return with no receipt (I had a receipt) so I did. A day before the purse was scheduled to be delivered it said my order was cancelled and the money was refunded to the gift card I used, I didn't get a gift card the store associate threw it away after she used it to pay for the order. They said the order was cancelled because the item was ordered incorrectly and now we're two months after the order got cancelled and I'm still fighting to get a refund and I had to open a dispute with my bank against Macys. read more

I closed my account at Macy's today! I am so disappointed in there customer service. I made an order 11/11/20 (I had seen an email advertisement) so I ordered 4 items at about $15.00 so each, it should have been about 60 or 70 dollars. They changed me over 100 dollars on my charge card. I called and canceled the same day 11/11/20 evening. Never received an email conformation of order or of cancellation. I called several times spoke to several people (I believe working from home) got cut off several times. Tried to get an email a supervisor a manager none had answers. I was either cut off or told to go to the Macy's website. Today I called to close my Macy's account. The also said they could not help me. They said call your bank for assistance (I used my visa). I am so disappointed in the service I received. I tried to call corporate and was sent from one recording to another. No assistance. I know I am only one person but I felt my business was not appreciated at Macy's. I did not feel valued as a customer. I was very frustrated trying to get through the maze that they have created. I suggest that if you want something from Macy's DO NOT BUY IT ON LINE, Go in the store and use cash, request a receipt for any transaction. Get employee ID numbers (I asked and never got one). It's probably the best store at the mall. The people working there are always polite. It is a very clean store and I feel comfortable. However, I am very disappointed that they don't have a Dior or Chanel counter, that's the reason I go to Macys! They do have a MAC counter (not my style) and it's always busy with 'interesting' clientele. Maybe that's why they don't have the higher end cosmetics; because it doesn't do as well up here as things like MAC. read more

You go to MACYS expecting class and end up with nothing more than a ghetto experience. Ordered a purse that cost $165.00 after discounts and was promised it would be here by the 21st of December "NO PROBLEM". Well, it's now December 29th and still no purse which was a Christmas gift. Called twice and spent almost 2 hours on the phone only to be told "NO PURSE". THANKS MACYS FOR SCREWING UP AN ORDER AND A CHRISTMAS. Unbelievable lack of customer service and we won't be back. I want to start by saying I love Macy's!! I have been a loyal customer for 20 plus years. When Macy's first came to the high desert NOONE was happier than me. The first few years good to great customer service BUT in the last year customer service has become terrible. The associates frequently talk to each other instead of me(the customer) and the way some are dressed is a step below classless. The last time I was there making a return I was told by an associate who did not greet me, never smiled, was dressed in ill fitting old clothes that they were going to have to send this shirt back to Victoria Gardens where it was purchased. I didn't understand at first why she was telling me that before I realized she was admonishing me for her inconvenience of having to send it back!? Are you kidding me! Please someone in management turn this customer service nightmare around. read more

I have shopped at Macy's for years and have always had a good experience until yesterday with a security issue. As I was going into the women's bathroom and passed by the drinking fountain there was a creepy guy, about 30, standing there who stared at me. He gave me a bad feeling and maybe I should have left but I went into the bathroom/stall and as I realized, he followed me and went into the stall next to me. I kept checking his feet and when his pants were down around his ankles I pretended to be on the phone and quickly left. I summoned a clerk who called security. The lady security guard, another clerk and myself went into the bathroom. The guard whispered and verified it was a man in the stall and called for backup. After all other people left and when it was quiet, he came out with his hoodie up and would not look at the 3 of us. I said "what are you doing in the women's bathroom?" He said nothing and we followed him out - the security guard and clerk ahead of me. The guy now standing near the glass door with his hoodie down quickly walked out. All of a sudden I realized that it was him, looked around and the 2 staff were gone! I ran out the door after him but he was gone too. I ran back in and told a clerk to get security. The head of security met me by the door where he escaped and I told her what happened and asked why the 2 employees disappeared. She was trying to calm me which saying "I know you're 'frustrated". I was so furious and wanted to know why everyone disappeared. I wanted to talk to the woman security guard and the other clerk who were in the bathroom. She said the woman guard was with another guard who were detaining someone who stole something and the other was on her lunch break and wouldn't be available for an hour (liar). The head of security contacted the guard that was in the bathroom at some point who said that she had "walked the guy out". I made it clear that she did not that he was still standing inside (liar). I asked why another guard was not called or why herself did not respond and did they only have 2 security guards for the whole building? She also said that maybe the guy had dementia and didn't realize he was in the wrong bathroom. I shot down this theory very fast. She did not have answers and would not let me look at the security videos so I could identify him. She said she would review them and call me today by 1pm. I will also be making a police report as I doubt this creep won't try it again or has done this before. I am most frustrated that Macy's did not even ask him what he was doing in the women's bathroom and why they all disappeared and did not say a word to me! read more

I like history. I like that Macy's has been around for a long time. I love hearing the Macy's name when I watch Miracle on 5th Street. But every time I walk into Macy's I understand more and more why this company is struggling to survive. 2 days ago I order some shoes online for an event this weekend. I checked all of the stores to see who had it in stock. Good news, the store by my house had them in stock, so I chose the option to pick up in the store. I waited 36 hours for text, an email, letting me know that they were ready for pick-up. Nothing. So I called and found out through a very frustratingly unresponsive phone system they shoes were being shipped and expected to arrive in another week. No notice. No text. No email. No other options. Just decided to ship them and not even inform the buyer. So I call the 800 number, which is outsourced to another country, with someone who is only trying to do their job as they explained to me that "pick up in store also means ship to the store." Um, no? That is a shipping option, yes, but if a product shows that it is IN the store, available for either shipping or picking up, that means that I do not want it shipped. Apparently, Macys thinks otherwise. I asked that be order be shipped to my house. Not an option. I asked that the order be canceled. Not an option. I asked for Macy's to credit my order at another store, absorbing my initial order when it arrives in exchange. Nope. The only option offered was for ke to purchase a second pair and when the other order arrived, ignore it, and wait 7 days for Macy's to return it and receive credit. Heck, sign me up! I trust Macy's now. I mean why wouldn't I when their communication sucks and they make decisions without contacting the buyer. Absolutely I would trust that system! Macy's, there is a reason why you are no longer in the same class as Nordstroms. Or, even Target. read more

This Macys is very small. But it is well kept , and the people who work there are very helpful in assisting in any way they can. Ive lived in the High Desert for a long time and am so happy we finally have a decent store in the victorville mall!!!! read more

I go to the MAC counter in this Macy's.My skin tone is always changing depending on the time of year I'm buying so I always request a color match when looking for or trying out a different foundation. They are always very friendly. They take their time in helping me decide which color fits best. If it's a busy day sometimes the wait is a little long 5 min or so but I don't mind. I just look around at the makeup until someone is able to help. Once during checkout one of my daughters was looking at the blush and eye shadows and one of the guys working asked if he could put a little on her. She picked out the color and felt so cool as he applied a little eyeshadow on her. I always have a great experience at this location and really any MAC store I've been in. read more

The worst experience EVER!!!!On 07/13/2015 I arrived at the Macy's in Victorville to exchange a suit; in which I purchased in the Victorville store, that was too big for a smaller size. Unfortunately, there were none in my size, so I decided to return the suit. The cashier informed me that I would need to bring in my receipt to return it. Never was I offered store credit for suit at the lowest rate nor was I provided with any assistance in locating the receipt in the computer system. No worries, I informed the her and told her I would return once I located my reciept. On 07/15/2015 at 1:25 pm during my lunch break, I arrived back at the store with my receipt. This time I was told by the cashier, who spoke with someone named Stacy, that a manager's approval was needed but all the managers were in a meeting until 4pm. Apparently Noone else in the entire store could help me. Upset called their coroporate office. They called the same Stacy that said only a manager could assist me and she ended up assisting me. Such a huge hassle and I still don't get why!!! Poor Customer service! read more
