It was our first time dining here, and I'm sure we'll be back to enjoy more Vietnamese/Pan-Asian cuisine offered here. We didn't try this time, but there's also a sushi bar. There were three two other tables occupied, but no one was trying their sushi for lunch today. We were fortunate to be seated right away without reservation for lunch. Ambience was very nice with some soft Asian BGM. The restaurant looked well put together and clean even though there was only silk-flowers on the tables. Our server was a very pleasant, courteous and efficient young man. Drink orders came out quickly, and our food came out pretty fast from the kitchen. An older lady who took care of my bill was not too friendly or pleasant, and I got an impression that she really didn't want to be taking care of her customers. I had pho with beef...very good broth, and beef had a very good flavor--perhaps a bit salty, but it was good nonetheless. What I didn't expect was the lack of sweet basil or slices of lime (I suppose things are bit different here compared to what it is in US). I felt vegetables (onions, bean sprouts and cilantro) were on the light side, too. Noodles came out in one big ball, and I had to work it for a while to get them loosened up. I have been coming to Madame Thu Trangs for a few months now and every time I have enjoyed the food and the service is quick and courteous. If you want Good Sushi for a good price then this is the perfect place. I have taken my girlfriend and grandparents to this place and they have all enjoyed it a lot. I strongly recommend the Jukiko Roll if you're in the mood for sushi. They also have many other dishes to include varying types of rice and noodles. Awesome sushi!!! Some of the best I have ever had. The rest of the food is great as well. The shrimp spring rolls (non-fried) are out of this world. I would suggest getting a Japanese beer over a German beer there due to the fact the lighter taste compliments the food better. read more

Terrible service. American tourists. Lady in charge didn't seem very pleased that we couldn't speak German. The food was terrific. We only ordered rolls and they were wonderful.
