I sent my children back to the hotel after 20 minutes as it had been a long couple of days of activity and travel. I waited an entire hour for the check after others who had come after me ate, paid and left. I could have left cash but wasn't sure if taxes were required and didn't want to pay too little. I drank 3 carafes of water while being ignored. As it got closer to closing and after I had to use the restroom, the manager/server finally made eye contact so I could request my check. If you are black or brown, DO NOT come here. Yoshoku is very close but was completely full when we went. That food looked just as delicious and I suspect won't come with a healthy serving of racism and disrespect.

The waiter was very friendly and quick to serve and answer questions. The menu is quite extensive and there is plenty of sushi, sashimi, yakitori, udon, tempura and other Japanese dishes. I ordered a Nagoya sushi / sashimi combo, miso soup and a soft shell crab roll. We were sharing this across two people and it was more than enough food for that. The food arrived quickly and I loved my miso soup. It was intense in flavour and tasted delicious. The sashimi was of good quality and the soft shell crab roll was crispy and delicious also. The other two people had different dishes and they equally enjoyed their meals. We sent back three empty plates. Prices are reasonable and the quality high. Started recently to come here for lunch regularly. Today, though, I ordered an udon soup for lunch, which was simply too salty and sweet to even eat. I was very hungry, but still couldn't manage more than 2 or 3 bites. I have almost never returned food in a restaurant in my life! But this time I mentioned something to the waiter and asked if I could have something else instead. He said that I could if I paid for both the uneaten dish and the new one. I didn't want to pay twice so had nothing else and let him take the inedible (to me) soup away uneaten. So today, over a 9 Euro bowl of Udon, this restaurant has lost all our future business. We paid 30 Euros for my husband's sushi, my uneaten soup, and some water, and will never return. This is a type of customer service approach that I simply do not understand.

We had a particulary frustating time trying to secure our bill and get back on our way at the end. On top of that, if running your meal on a credit card, it seems a very slow process here as well, just to let you know (my colleague had a frustrating time with getting the transaction complete). Bottom line: An A-OK lunch spot, not outstanding but not bad either. There are a few speed bumps with service and getting transactions completed in timely manner but it serves the purpose for getting a lunchtime sushi fix.

Our server was a very pleasant, courteous and efficient young man. Drink orders came out quickly, and our food came out pretty fast from the kitchen. An older lady who took care of my bill was not too friendly or pleasant, and I got an impression that she really didn't want to be taking care of her customers. I had pho with beef...very good broth, and beef had a very good flavor--perhaps a bit salty, but it was good nonetheless. What I didn't expect was the lack of sweet basil or slices of lime (I suppose things are bit different here compared to what it is in US). I felt vegetables (onions, bean sprouts and cilantro) were on the light side, too. Noodles came out in one big ball, and I had to work it for a while to get them loosened up.
