The contractor assured us that he would be able to reinstall the blinds, but with the windows and the trim taking up the space where the shades were previously recessed, his crew could not figure out how to resolve the problem. He had an obligation to reinstall the blinds, so I suggested that we have Budget blinds reinstall and bill him. He agreed and I made contact with Craig at Budget blinds. I can't say enough about how accommodating and quick to respond they were. Their installer Tim was out the next day and accessed the situation and re hung all of the blinds with the exception of one which he took back to have recut to fit where the two corner windows fit. I just got a call from Craig that the blind is ready for when its convenient for me to have reinstalled....that's refreshing after all I've been through with the window contractor. Because One Stop Decorating had done work for me before, I had them return to provide Hunter…read moreDouglas shades for eight bay windows. After the sales rep measured them, he quoted me a price and demanded full payment up front before work could begin. They installed a product that is so horrendously ill-fitting, the shades, (which are beautifully made) are unfortunately rendered useless. The headrails are oversized and are jammed together, and the shades protrude so far out from the windows they barely filter out sunlight and provide little privacy. The contract I signed with them stated the light gaps between shades could be up to 1". OSD assured me that only a sliver of light would actually be seen due to the wood frames. The light gaps from their installed shades are at least 2" apart. OSD explained this was the best they could do; no other Hunter Douglas shades could work, and not to contact them as they wouldn't care. After numerous attempts to resolve these issues, my calls were not returned and no effort was made to address the problems or refund my money. I did contact Hunter Douglas execs, who did care, and were dismayed. They also attempted to get OSD to resolve the issues, and they referred me to another local Hunter Douglas distributor, who has been terrific. In fact, even the sample shades they brought me fit far better than what OSD installed. Because of OSD's poor workmanship and refusal to rectify the situation, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

Our first new home and no window coverings. How is a girl to decide for 23 windows? We were so…read morenervous but met Jenn and she eased our fears! Her eye for color to help match the walls, trim and floors was awesome! We are loving our new shades and blinds and have had so many compliments. I think our favorite are the motorized shades. Our granddaughter loves when the "magic" happens when grandpa raises or lowers them with the remote. Also love our solar honeycomb shades that raise up and down for our sunroom. And, the blinds on all the bedrooms are so nice too that literally just use a button to raise and lower. They are very safe for our grandkids. Completely satisfied with the products, installation and price too! Jenn was very conscious of helping us stay within our budget especially since we had just bought a brand new house. When the blinds came after 6 weeks, one of the two had a defect in them. When I called the store, Trudy told me it would be a week before the replacement would come. It's been 3 weeks and still nothing. When I asked for a price reduction Trudy told me I had to talk to 2 other people first. No price reduction, no replacement blind and an inferior product. Don't be fooled by the name "budget". These are expensive products and not worth the aggravation at all.
