THIS IS ONLY THE THIRD IN A SERIES OF FIVE RATE INCREASES. If you don't use any water AT ALL you will pay the fixed rate which is $20.74 and in the year 2020 that will increase to $23.51. Residential; Tier 1-(1-1000) $1.63, tier 2- (1001-3300) $2.25, tier 3- (3300) $3.69. In 2020 it will cost you; Tier 1- $1.93, tier 2- $2.60, tier 3- $4.22. Doesn't really look like a lot but for me to stop watering my yard cost me $95.78 in water alone. Let's not for get the sewer rates; $35.33 and in 2020 will increase to $42.75 Plus drainage $, refuse $ and street sweep $ . I have been passionate about gardening for over 22 years. I've shared plants with hundreds of people over the years now thanks to all the rate hikes I will no longer be able to share the beauty of my garden with others. The only words the City has for the people who love to share their passion for gardening is, "The more water you use the more you pay". MAKES ME SICK!!
