I hate to write a poor review (as a business owner myself, I know this can cause a negative impact)…read morebut I feel that it's necessary. I had built a site for my small business and struggled to add a booking feature. I was in a time crunch so my mother (God love her) stepped in and offered to hire Webchick to help me out. My mother was given a price and then wrote a check to reimburse me (again, very kind of my mother to help me out here). The invoice Web Chick sent to me was $120 more than the price my mother was given. I let this go. I was then very upfront with Chrissy about what she was being hired to do before sending a check to her. She was paid for 1 year of site management (her yearly fee) and then I wanted the site transferred over to me so I could manage/update the site myself, moving forward. Fast forward 1 year when it was time to renew, I asked about transferring the site so that I could be able to login to manage the content. Chrissy sent me a zip file of the content and said I'd need to transfer everything to a new web host. I did not code this site or create it so I had no clue how to do this. We agreed in the beginning on transferring the content to an independent account (I still have the text reciepts which I sent to her). I gave her the opportunity to transfer the content before leaving a review and rather than saying she misunderstood that I was planning to leave after the first year and offer to guide/help me transfer the content, she told me I should just renew or go back to Wix since I am familiar with wix (this is where I had created the first site and paid just under $400 for the site and domain name and then Chrissy walked me through transferring the domain to her which was fine...until now). I would love to renew if web management was in my budget but I knew it wasn't from the get-go so I tried to be clear of what I needed done to prevent this from happening. Now I am having to hire someone else to transfer the zip files since Chrissy did not follow through with this. I was also told that she has something that scans sites that she builds to check for copyrights and make sure everything is compliant (great selling point); then I was emailed by a supervisor from a corporate office saying I needed to remove certain wording from my site that was copyrighted or else they would take legal action. Yikes! I was misled and overall disappointed.

Web Chick has been great to work with for our websites. They do all of the updates promptly. Their…read moredesign is top notch and scales well on screens of all sizes. Pricing is very good and communication is excellent. Highly recommend if you need a website.

I'll start by saying I am super laid back and easy-going, but the customer service (lack thereof)…read moreput me WAY over the edge. I initially politely asked about what I perceived as an error, and I was met with hostility. I respond in kind. What a mess! Crissa Felkner is a BRANCH MANAGER of the Lancaster location, and she knows NOTHING about title work. On day 19 of a 20 day contract she finally sent out title commitment and prelim HUD-1. Within 5 minutes I saw a problem with the legal description. Four parcels in the legal (instead of the 5 I knew to be there) with the acres adding up to 92 acres instead of the 87.4 acres we were purchasing. I pointed it out and she said that sometimes the acreage on legals don't match what the auditor has. I guess she isn't accustomed to working with people that happen to have been licensed in the field. Yes, they can be off inches, NOT ACRES! I brought a protractor and drew out the description and saw the problem. The examiner MISSED a partial split in 1995. They were so lazy they used the pre-1995 legal description. They didn't catch this bad legal on a 2008 deed, either. Basically the sellers in 2008 transferred land they no longer owned (according to the legal). I pointed this out and asked for the legal to be corrected for our transaction and to see what the underwriter needed to be done to fix the prior deed. The response I got back was that she was refusing to correct the legal unless I wanted a full metes & bounds survey. No. Not how it works. You need to fix the legal to make an exception for the 1995 split. Then you need to either re-record the 2008 deed with corrected legal OR get an indemnification from the prior title company. She verbally told the realtor that they were insuring through it and I should sign. I got the closing documents at 5:32pm on closing date (so after closing hours are possible) with the proration date wrong, my money that I had wired not showing as received (days before), and a title commitment that doesn't show that the underwriter has been informed of the bad title chain. This is insurance fraud, plain and simple. The underwriter is being put at risk by her actions. It's not an accident if someone has pointed it out to you and you are still trying to push it through. Never an apology or even an acknowledgement that she was wrong or I was mistreated. I have never seen such a huge ego on someone that shouldn't have a huge ego! The correct response when I asked about the potentially problematic legal would have been "I'll look into this and get back to you" not "you're wrong, I'm right, and I am not budging". If you're gonna be cocky, at least make sure you are right. **I had left this review under a different office location since this location didn't appear on Yelp at the time of my 2021 post, and apparently the only response I received from them was the "laugh" reaction. Very professional, huh?**
