Wow, people have so much time on their hands to write bad reviews. Dr Lev Haimoff has been my physician for almost 10 years. Now, if you go to see any doctor in New York and they never make you wait you just go to some imaginary clinic that is not exist. Wait time for me never was too bad though. Office is clean. Dr Haimoff is nice and never rushing you, listens carefully, always does right tests, asks questions etc Nurses and front desk staff are sweet as well. Recommend it to all my friends. read more

I came here to see Dr. Kuznetsova for the first time, but I will never go back. It was a routine physical, and she was okay but I felt her mannerisms were very rushed and not too friendly. I was considering making her my PCP, but she made no attempt to get to know me in the slightest, so there goes that. I'd maybe give 2-3 stars for the visit itself. But the billing was a nightmare! Once I received my bill, I was charged $97 from Quest Diagnostics for the blood work, but I am fully covered by my insurance for annual physicals. Turns out they ordered tests that are not part of a normal annual physical. Fast forward 8 months of emails, phone calls to Quest and Madison Medical, numerous emails to Madison Medical which were generally ignored, finally some movement (an updated balance of $40), continued emails and calls, to my finally receiving a zero balance on the invoice. It caused me so much headache and aggravation. I will never visit such a disorganized place that can't even handle their billing and such horrible communication. I can't tell you how many times I called and the person who handles the billing either wasn't in that day or wouldn't come in until later. Just awful. read more

I honestly had a great experience here. I had been battling a UTI for a week and thought it was gone when I came to NY! Nope - came back with a vengeance. I called first and the receptionist told me I could walk in and wait. (From California) Thank God my insurance was accepted and I was actually seen very quickly! I was in and out in about 30 min. They were efficient, punctual and took care of me. After they submitted my prescription, Cvs apparently didn't have it in ANY of their locations so I called back to this office and they called every pharmacy until they found one who had it. Thank you so much I feel tremendously better. I appreciate how quick they were and the help to find my antibiotics. read more

I have here a total of three times including today. It is very convenient, only a few blocks from my office. They are very accomodating and they were able to make an appt for me with virtually no notice. The staff are friendly and the receptionist knew who I was today without asking my name. I have been going to Maddison Medical Practice for years. While Dr. Haimoff is amazing and always listens to concerns and addresses them and does not rush you in and out. I tend to see the PA Arthur. Arthur is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He knows I do not like needles or having my blood taken and is great about doing it. Arthur and the office manager Corinne also worked very hard to get a medication approved from me with my insurance after multiple denials. Through their dedication to me and from me all of the hard work they put in, they were able finally, get approval. Dr. Haimoff, I am not sure of you see these reviews. I appreciate yours, Arthur, and Corinnes knowledge, and compassion to your patients. Dr Yekaterina Kuznetsova was not respectful with my time, made me wait 30 minutes and did not even apologize for the waiting. She did not even know that had an appointment with me. Her attitude was unprofessional and careless. I needed some important paperwork by this week from her, she left for vacation and forgot to leave my paperwork. Very unprofessional and rude staff picking up the phone. What a first impression. I believe I have gone once to this place last year for a USCIS checkup, I was going to go back because it is close from work... but only because of this lady, no thank you. They made me wait 1,5hours for the doctor to see me 2minutes and check that I pass the tuberculosis test since there is not a bump in my arm 2 days after the test. While waiting I was hearing ALL THE TIME. Phone ringing..."Doctor's office please hold..." no chance to even speak... they aren't listening. Eventually they get back to the call. In my case, more than 7 minutes on hold and nothing... The day of my appointment, I wasn't finding the full address and needed to call... 5 or 6 times... "Doctor's office please hold..." ABSOLUTELY RUDE. If you ask me, stay away from this disorganized and disrespectful place. read more

Dr. Haimoff has been my primary care physician for about 10 years. I trust his expertise and appreciate his patience explaining any medical questions to me. Wait times are never bad and the staff is always helpful booking me immediately for more acute conditions. The nurses are caring, professional and positive people. Regular appointments are easy to make online. Medical records transfers and other requests can be easily made via email. I've had a number of insurance including Medicare and they were able to take each one. read more

I spent 45 minutes waiting to see Dr Haimoff. He clearly over books his schedule which causes severe delays for patients. He apologized for the wait but it clearly is just his business model to have his patients wait as he jumps from room to room like a mad man! He has no intention of ever. Fixing this issue. The office is a dump and is in dire need of a renovation. It feels grimy and old. That said, Dr Haimoff did a great job of treat my hemorrhoids in just 2 visits but I will only use him in the future for this issue. I would never suggest using him for anything other than an emergency or hemorrhoids. Good luck and bring a magazine. read more

BEWARE OF TRICKERY!!! My experience here was awful and here's why: - While waiting to be seen by the doctor, 2 nurses come into the waiting room and start gossiping about a patient, loudly and openly, in front of all the other patients waiting (it's called confidentiality...) - Dr. K is sitting behind her desk, low cut shirt, no lab coat, speaking dismissively - the above problems are minor in my opinion compared to this: When I booked an appointment online, they ask you what you are going for. I chose Yellow Fever Shot. NOT Travel Consultation AND The shot. I really don't need to be consulted about traveling... So, I book the appt. Get a call later saying they don't associate with insurance companies. All fine and dandy. When I get to the appt, I ask the woman at the front desk how much the shot costs, just so I know how much I will be charging to my card. $130. Still fine with me. I finally get called into the doctor's office. I sit there while she types on her comp without saying anything. She starts to ask about all sorts of vaccinations, and I say "I just want the yellow fever shot." She says ok and fills out some forms. I ask her several questions about side effects and then get the shot. Now I'm at the desk, and the woman says "let me just see how much you owe." I remind her that she said the shot was 130. She says "didn't you get travel consultation?" I remind her, "no, just the shot." She obviously doesn't believe me so she goes and speaks with Dr. K. She comes back and calmly says "ok, your total will be $210. I politely remind her that she said 130 and she says "that's for the shot, and then the visit is $80. At this point I am suspicious but she's giving me attitude and people in the waiting room are starting to listen and watch, and I become unsure of myself so I hand her my card. I eventually figure out, as I'm sure you all have by now, that they charged me for travel consultation, but she was trying to make it sound like it was the norm. Now some of you might say that I did get the consultation, when I asked questions, but do you really think several questions are worth 80 dollars?! And besides, I wouldn't have asked them if I knew I would be charged. Like I said, I don't need consultation, and if I did, that's what the FREE internet is for. I suppose some of you might also say that it's my fault for not asking from the start "it will JUST be $130, right?" but i believe it should be the office's responsibility to clearly state how much the patient will be charged BEFORE THE visit. This feels like swindling, and trickery, and I think it's a horrible way to run a business, and an even worse way to run a doctor's office!! read more

This morning I woke up with crusty and swollen eyes, you guess it.... pink eye! I just moved to NYC so I don't have a doctor but needed to go somewhere for treatment quickly. I was able to schedule an appointment online (very uncommon in medical offices) within the hour! When I arrived there was a short wait while I filled out insurance information and the doctor had me in and out of his office in less than 10 minutes. And it only cost me a $20 copay. Sweet. I am going to Brazil in 2 weeks so I wanted to get a yellow fever vaccination. Unfortunately I couldn't find a provider in my insurance network that offers this vaccination. So on the CDC (Center for Disease Control) website, I browsed the list for approved providers and found this one because it was close to my office. I called them to ask for the price and the representative told me it was $140. When I got to the office, she gave me some forms to fill out and I asked her how much the vaccination was, she told me $205. I asked her why it was so much, then she tells me there is $65 office visit charge. Well, no one told me this over the phone! That pissed me off. Why would you qoute someone a price of $140? Do you think people come into the office to buy the vaccination ONLY and inject it themselves?! I am here to buy the vaccination AND the service. This made me mad because when I called other offices, they gave me the price qoute that included the administration and the vaccination and they were $40-50 cheaper than this place. But ended up going here thinking I had found a good doctor and a reasonable price. It was convenient that I was able to make my appointment online and they had plenty of time slots. As for my yellow fever vaccination experience, Dr. Fuzayloff was a very nice and thorough doctor. He explained the whole procedure and any possible side effects I may encounter. I would recommend this place but make sure you get the pricing straight, seems like they have billing issues with their clients. read more

I saw Dr. Lev Haimoff about a mild cough after being referred by the staff at my regular doctor's office, since she was unavailable. After spending about two minutes with me, Dr. Haimoff prescribed me a steroid-based inhaler usually used to treat severe asthma, even though I was very clear with him that I do not have asthma. The drug was expensive, and the list of side effects was pretty serious--major personality changes, heart problems, and greatly increased risk of pneumonia are a few--but after I called the office and Dr. Haimoff confirmed that that was the best prescription for my cough, I started taking it. Three days into treatment with that prescription, I woke up with chest pain that persisted throughout the day, potentially signaling an overdose or a very serious side effect, according to the drug information. I made an emergency appointment at a walk-in clinic, where the doctor was horrified that I had been prescribed this steroid. Not only was it ineffective against my cough, it was dangerous and meant to be prescribed only for severe illnesses worthy of the risk of pneumonia or heart problems the drug carries--so my minor cough didn't qualify! It took more than two days for my chest pain to subside after I stopped taking the drug Dr. Haimoff wrongly prescribed me, and the whole experience was scary. I have no idea what he was thinking, but I will definitely be warning people away from this doctor. read more

I'm giving them 1 star for the cheapest Yellow Fever vaccination. (Of course I did do some fast research) $185 cash (office visit $65, plus $120) if you pay with a card it's $20 more. This is your run of the mill in and out clinic. We don't give a rats ass about you! The waiting room is nasty, like what you'd see in a cat ladies house or maybe your grandmothers. Not modern or clean (looking at the dirty floor under the rugs now), to have a nice clean waiting room comfortable waiting room means that you actually care about your customers. I had an appointment here for 11:00am, but I need to reschedule for a bit earlier as I had another appointment at 11:30am down the street. I called to change my appointment the lady said no problem and changed my appointment to 10:40am. The morning of I got a call to confirm my 11:00am appointment. Clearly they made a mistake, no apology nothing. I was told to come at 10:40am to fill out paperwork, and I could be seen at 10:50am. Well it's 11:12am now I've been here for 20 minutes...waiting.... As I'm sitting here still waiting I'm thinking it can't get worse than this. Hopefully the dr is friendly but I have a feeling it's in and out kinda attitude. To top it off, The front desk lady, Middle eastern one long hair, was very rude upon my arrival. They're not friendly whatsoever. In fact I wished I would have spent the extra money to go to the other. Traveling Vaccination Clinic. This place is clearly unorganized and rude. Wouldn't it be nice if you could feel all warm and fuzzy and comfortable before getting stabbed with a needle? Ok Midtown Medical Group perhaps that's asking too much, here's an idea just do good business, treat your customers like people, be friendly, be on time, be professional, be organized, but that's probably asking too much! Spend your money other places where people will treat you like a human. I feel terrible if you are choosing to come here for anything other than a vaccination. Geez this place gives me the creeps. I got fed up and started coming here because of a friend's recommendation. I've visited twice so far for two different throaty issues. Both times I've been taken within 15 minutes max. This is the most unprofessional office in the entire city of New York. I came with severe stomach pain 5 minutes after my appointment time and was told I missed my appointment and I would have to wait there for the next one 45 minutes later. I started crying because I am sick and it already took a lot of strength to get over there and the receptionist said "yelling at me isn't going to do anything." This was the worst medical experience of my life. I arrived in advance of my appointment to fill out paperwork. The woman at the front desk was completely rude and, I'm pretty sure, violated HIPAA regulations when she publicly enquired about the nature of every person's visit. Since the office was supposedly understaffed on this particular day I saw patience hand over urine samples at the front desk on their way out the door. Completely unprofessional and off-putting. When the doctor met with me he inquired as to the reason for my visit. I told him why I was there and without even examining me or performing any tests he wrote me a prescription. I was so flustered that he asked if everything was alright. I told him I had never experienced what he referred to "empirical therapy," which according to his logic: if I came into contact with someone contagious I obviously must be sick as well. I was a little freaked out seeing all the negative reviews here, but I saw strong reviews on ZocDoc so I rolled the dice. I came here for a consult on a vaccine we weren't sure if we needed for an upcoming 3 month trip abroad. They got me in within 24 hours, were flexible when I needed to reschedule, and even took me early when I showed up 15 min before my appt. I met with a doctor named Mark (last name?) and he was nice, genuinely interested, and answered all my questions. Plus, they charged almost half of what Mount Sinai charges for a consultation! Always professional and sincere in medical advice. For urgent care, their is always an appointment with Physician Assistant staff for those things that cannot wait. Blood work can be done quickly, staff is friendly and most importantly, you get good advice. For full time management, Dr. H. is is excellent, but honest. If you don't need medicine, he won't prescribe but you can follow-up on the phone if need be after appropriate amount of days. Dr. Haimoff is great. I have been seeing him for about three years. I love the accessibility the office provides. You can book appointments online, email the doctor from home and they are open late. The girls at the front desk are pleasant and the nurses are nice. There has been a long wait lately, but I don't mind because when I see Dr. Haimoff he really takes his time and listens to me. He checks my medical history and thoroughly examines me. He is exactly what more doctors should be like. The reason for four stars though is because the fill-in doctor is horrible! She is cold to the point of being callous. She also is not helpful and only referred me to a list of specialists without diagnosing a single concern I had. She also didn't even examine me! Not bad, actually. Made an appointment online the night before (HUGE plus, since getting appointments so last minute is usually my biggest problem), and only had to wait about 5-10 minutes. Fuzayloff was really serious and explanatory. Felt a bit like a lecture. He did a quick examination, found the problem but said it's impossible to tell the exact cause, since there could be two causes. So he wrote me two prescriptions, both generics, super affordable, and not too radical so they's safe to take if the cause was one and not the other. Seeing doctors for an issue is always kind of the same- nobody is ever certain exactly what ails you. But I definitely appreciate Fuzayloff's straight-forward, no-nonense approach, without prescribing expensive, probably-unhealthy with scary side effects, meds. read more

Dr. Haimoff is thorough and attentive. Zocdoc is awesome for booking appointment, has online paperwork, and will tell you if your insurance is accepted. The phlebotomy room design is a bit off-putting but everything else is fine. If you are insured, I think this is a good place for primary care, sti screening, physicials, and simple medical questions. Anything not covered by your insurance, expect to pay out of pocket-- this isn't a charity. Do your research before you book. The front desk was very honest about the costs for services if not covered. I paid nothing for my yearly physical and preventive bloodwork, which is included in my insurance plan. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because it took a long time to book an appointment and see the doc (over 2 week wait), and I didn't really like how they deliver your lab information on the phone. The person discussing my results didn't seem very knowledgeable and was a little rushed and cold. Other than that, I recommend this office for primary care. read more

Had no problems with my visit. Booked an appointment for a standard physical on Monday for Thursday through ZocDoc. Filled out all my paper work online, and once I showed up I only needed to fill out some signatures and a credit card form (in case insurance doesn't go through). Staff seemed friendly. Showed up at 12:25 for a 12:30 appointment. Was seen by a nurse at 12:45. Did all the standard physical stuff, blood work, EKG, urine test. Was seen by the doctor, who was dressed in green khakis and a T-shirt, which was a little strange but I'm from the tech industry so it wasn't that weird for me. Covered by insurance, United Healthcare, fully. Ended up leaving at about 1:30pm. All in all, not bad at all, definitely not as bad as some of the reviews on here make it seem. read more

I recommend this clinic if you're uninsured. I have no insurance, no regular doctor, and not a lot of money. When I came down with a UTI I didn't have a lot of options. I could have waited five days to go to Planned Parenthood, but I was nervous about waiting. This was the cheapest walk-in clinic I could find. They have a $98 special if you're uninsured. That's just $13 more than Planned Parenthood (though perhaps PP would be lower when they applied the sliding scale). It was worth the extra money to get seen the next day. You can make an appointment online, which is pretty convenient. I had my appointment right on time, no waiting. Dr. Fuzayloff went through the process pretty quick, but he answered my questions and explained everything well. I was out of there with my prescription in 15 minutes. read more

I was charged the full price for a flu shot when I should NOT have been. They really need to work on the way that they speak to patients. USCIS rejected my medicals because they weren't filled correctly. I had to get new medicals from them, and go to USCIS again. Our lawyer (who appears for USCIS interviews daily) told us that invalid medicals are almost unheard of. read more

I booked an appointment on Zocdoc to see Dr. Kuznetsova. When I arrived the staff in the front was very kind and had me fill out some paperwork. I only waited about 10 minutes to see a doctor. My only complaint is that I was not seen by the doctor I had scheduled with and was instead seen by Dr. Haffey. I felt it was weird that they did not call to notify me of this change ahead of time - especially because some women prefer to be seen by doctors that are women. So it would have been nice to have a heads up that the doctor I scheduled with would not be seeing me. But Dr. Haffey was great! What a nightmare this place is. I go for an acute backache as a result of an injury and not only does the doctor tell me after a 15 minute appointment that I have fibromyalgia without using any of the diagnosis points for fibromyalgia, and not give me the prescription for physical therapy that I asked for, but months later I find that the office charged my insurance company for 2 office visits in one, and 'injections' which I never received. My insurance company rejected the billing. The office manager Julie then took my credit card number (that I had used for the co-pay) and charged my card without asking me. It was a mere $73, and since when I called the office she claimed not to have my address to get in touch with me I decided to let it go, just to avoid hassle. She agreed the billing was wrong, and said she would rebill it and send me a check. Then I find in my mailbox a letter asking for permission to charge my card (sent to the address she said she didn't have, with a postmark of a week before I called). I call the insurance company and find she never rebilled my office visit or sent an appeal. At this point I am ticked that #1 no one asked me to use my card and #2 that the biller lied about the reason she did so, so I called mastercard and told them to hold the charge. Well this person Julie calls me 3 times, in 3 days while I am at work, hassling me to call mastercard and tell them I made a mistake. (what? *I* made a mistake?) She is, like, truly enraged. (um, why?) She tells me that she will keep charging my card over and over again if I don't call mastercard. At this point I stop answering her calls. Then (this is all in the span of 5 days, mind you) she leaves a message on my machine with an ultimatum, that if I don't tell the credit card company I made a mistake and they never charged my card without permission, she is going to report me to all 3 credit agencies. (why the hostility? and who said I was never going to pay them? I filed an appeal with my insurance company so that the office would get paid). Here is the reason: later I find out that this office has a record of credit card disputes and when they take peoples' numbers and charge cards without permission, they get fined. A few days after the threat message, I make a formal request for billing copies under HIPAA federal law regarding patient records and in retaliation, hours after she gets my email, my card is charged for the $73 twice again. At this point, mastercard changes my card number. Just overall, a creepy and unpleasant experience. I should have found a GP and made an appointment rather than go to a walk-in clinic. read more

So here is my experience... I am walking in my apartment at 11pm at night minding my own business when suddenly I am stricken by sharp pain in my ribs that sends me careening for the floor in tears. Needless to say there is not much improvement the next day after I hobble my broke back-side-rib butt to work. I decided against my better experience to make an appointment at an urgent care next to my office. After looking at the reviews I go with "Walk-In-Clinic-NY" which I find out later is also known as Medical Clinic of New York and as Mr. Haminoff office and Midtown Medical. It has more aliases than a con artist on discovery ID. I love the easy use of the online appointment feature and the fact they e-mail you an hour before to remind you is a nice feature. I hobble into the office to find about 5 people waiting in various chairs. The front office people seem nice and efficient. It is not until I got the paperwork that I knew something wasn't right. One of the documents ask for your credit card as a requirement to service so they can charge your card if you insurance company denies a claim. I have never seen this before and hope never to see it again. I went up to the front desk and told them I am not feeling this out, that they need to pre- approve my transaction with my insurance company before I am scene which they did. My co-pay was $30 which is fine but I paid in cash just to make sure they have no credit card on file just in case. Pros: I was there for a total of 20 minuets. During this time all 5 people ahead of me were seen including me. Cons: I was seen by a physician assistant Ms. Mariam Lozah that looked like a Go - Go dancer who was too lazy to bother putting on a lab coat because it might clash with her knee high boots. She was also too lazy to even bother closing the door during the exam in which she only touched my arms (with my coat still on and purse in hand mind you) and determined it must be back spasms despite me telling her I have had lung irritation called plurasy just 2 years before and a family history of gallstones. She gave me a mild muscle relaxer and Tylenol for the pain before shoving me out the open door. But, not before she mentioned that I was a mess and if I was still in pain a week later to come back she would give me an x-ray then. Out $100 and 200% frustrated! read more

WOW, I found this Urgent Care and it was right around the corner from my hotel. I had over done it with all the sight seeing and running around. My nose suddenly started running and I felt the chills and flu like conditions coming on. I was able to walk there and they took me in minutes after filling out the standard paperwork. They do take insurance but I chose to pay for the visit. I was placed in a clean, comfortable room and within minutes, Dr Fuzayloff came in and thoroughly examined me. Better than my regular doctor. He spent time explaining what I needed to do and that traveling is very stressful on the body. He gave me a prescription and the pharmacy was only 3 minutes away. I took his advice and am on the mend. This doctor is "Magnificent" and I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a great doctor when they are feeling bad. read more

The doctor is extremely straight forward and reassuring. He is the type to tell you the reality of the situation without sugar coating it, but without making your anxious about the situation. The staff, both on the provider and administrative side, is nice and very efficient; it's easy to get an appointment; the two doctors I've interacted with listen well; you get what you need and you're on your way.
