I had built a site for my small business and struggled to add a booking feature. I was in a time crunch so my mother (God love her) stepped in and offered to hire Webchick to help me out. My mother was given a price and then wrote a check to reimburse me (again, very kind of my mother to help me out here). The invoice Web Chick sent to me was $120 more than the price my mother was given. I let this go. I was then very upfront with Chrissy about what she was being hired to do before sending a check to her. She was paid for 1 year of site management (her yearly fee) and then I wanted the site transferred over to me so I could manage/update the site myself, moving forward. Fast forward 1 year when it was time to renew, I asked about transferring the site so that I could be able to login to manage the content. Chrissy sent me a zip file of the content and said I'd need to transfer everything to a new web host. I did not code this site or create it so I had no clue how to do this. We agreed in the beginning on transferring the content to an independent account (I still have the text reciepts which I sent to her). I gave her the opportunity to transfer the content before leaving a review and rather than saying she misunderstood that I was planning to leave after the first year and offer to guide/help me transfer the content, she told me I should just renew or go back to Wix since I am familiar with wix (this is where I had created the first site and paid just under $400 for the site and domain name and then Chrissy walked me through transferring the domain to her which was fine...until now). I would love to renew if web management was in my budget but I knew it wasn't from the get-go so I tried to be clear of what I needed done to prevent this from happening. Now I am having to hire someone else to transfer the zip files since Chrissy did not follow through with this. I was also told that she has something that scans sites that she builds to check for copyrights and make sure everything is compliant (great selling point); then I was emailed by a supervisor from a corporate office saying I needed to remove certain wording from my site that was copyrighted or else they would take legal action. Yikes! I was misled and overall disappointed.

I rarely if ever feel compelled to write reviews but I cannot say enough positive things about working with Scott and his team at OhioHD. The details below are not hyperbole! Since Covid hit, we've been producing and directing music videos remotely from Los Angeles which has posed many logistical challenges to say the least. This time was no exception - We needed to produce a full scale music video for a major label band based in Columbus, where no one from our team had ever been. OhioHD was a miraculous one stop shop that I came across on ProductionHub. This was one of the easiest and most successful productions Ive ever worked on as a result of Scott and his teams professionalism and expertise. Not only were we able to film on OhioHDs state of the art CYC Stage, but OhioHD provided all of the necessary equipment, gear, you name it... all in-house. From projectors, to hard drives, to crafty, to crew, Scott responded almost immediately with solutions to all of the random requests we threw at him. He even offered to order lunch for everyone himself. Scott also provided us with a turn key remote monitoring solution that allowed our director to seamlessly direct remotely from his Laptop on a zoom meeting from LA. Our clients were able to pop in and out of the shoot all day too. Honestly it was kind of a dream scenario! Scott also recommended a brilliant DP in Josh Emerick who turned out to be one of the nicest and most thorough DPs we've ever worked with (to bad he's not in LA!). Josh brought on a wonderful Art Director in Ross Thiesen as well. Scott provided the rest of the crew who were all so nice, experienced, and all had great communication skills. The DIT Taylor even uploaded our proxies late into the night. He even went to fedex to mail us our drives on a saturday! What a dream team! It also worked in our favor that the film community is small but tight knit, so everyone from our crew, including our wonderful local line producer Naomi, had worked together before. Lastly, OhioHDs Covid protocol is super strict and adheres to OSHA CDC guidelines. They even have an in-house covid safety monitor or coordinator that enforces social distancing who was lovely. Naturally Scott was an angel and provided all sanitizing products and PPE as part of our package because they cant help but be the best?
