I was never a fan of the local Spreckles elementary school since it seems from the top down they really don't care about families and the students that they get paid per day to educate. I honestly feel my child actually gets an amazing education at home, online with teachers who actually have their act together (SCVA). The Principal for the online virtual academy is Erika and she is ALWAYS awesome. All the support staff including Omar in IT really go the extra mile to help us with any and all concerns. The impression I have from the Online Virtual academy is one where the student, parent, and staff all want to work together for the benefit of ALL the students in each classroom. While at some point my little one will need to go interact in a live school setting, if I can avoid the local spreckles school as much as possible till my child is old enough to understand some of politics/BS (enough to be able to tell me at home what happened)... i might consider sending my child back (but only after exhausting all other options to literally go anywhere BUT Spreckles).
