Hole in the wall Thai joint. You won't find this place in the busy area of Central, the way I like it. The guys working here show Thai hospitality at its best by attending to all the guests equally. They took my order in a timely manner and brought out the food pretty quickly as well. I ordered the nam tok beef salad and massaman curry. I love the nam tok as it was sweet, tangy, savory, and refreshing all in one dish. I don't know many dishes that can provide the same satisfaction. The massaman curry was rich with peanut aroma. Came here for dinner. Pretty casual place. The menu was quite extensive. Had a lot of non-mainstream thai dishes that I never heard of. Ended up beef spicy beef, some veggies and a side of rice. Portion was quite large. I ordered it spicy level 4 and felt it was tolerable. Overall good. read more

Came right when it opened and was seated immediately. Restaurant is quiet so it's nice for a quiet evening meal. First dish is papaya salad - tons of flavor and good amount of balance between papaya, green bean, and cashew. I wish it was a tad bit spicier but I like my food to burn my mouth so that's just me. WINGS WERE 10/10. Pretty disappointed on our European tour of food when it came to wings but these are a massive home run. So crispy and full of flavor. You don't even need the sauce. Tom yum soup w/shrimp was perfect. Soothing, comforting, and exactly what we were looking for. Our mains were the chicken yellow curry and the beef pad Thai. Both were flavor explosions and so well seasoned. Everything was cooked to perfect. Reminded me of the Thai food back home in LA's Thai town. As soon as I walked in, I felt unwelcome to eat there. Thank god for my nice young girl server (who was being treated poorly by her boss). He didn't want to seat me but she did. He literally wouldn't even look one direction at our table. I tell you, this man passed out plates to the entire restaurant but our table. We were the only people to ask for a plate. We waited a long time for our food. Mind you, we eat tons of Thai food (back at home) so we had pretty high expectations for the items being $14. Our food came out distinctively after two other tables. I had to ask several times if our food was still coming because we were literally going to get up and leave. I ordered Pad Kee Mao, beef salad and Tom Khai. The beef salad was very underwhelming. I was expecting more of sliced beef than ground beef. But maybe that's what loas style is? Random how it went from Thai to loas but still good. The pad kee mao was not pad kee mao. The noodles make the dish with asian food so.... They use a pad Thai noodle instead of the thick and yummy ones that are used to make this. Completely changed the whole dish. The soup was great actually the best thing. Sadly, such a tiny portion. No complaints with the price to portion though. When I told one of the old man server about the quality of the noodles, he got in my face and yelled at me saying I was wrong. This restaurant is super small so you can only imagine how awkward it was. I said to him "I'm still going to pay for this but this is not the dish I ordered and it is not good either". Look. I don't see a lot of Asians in the Netherlands so I'm sure no one knows the differences. But you can't call a dish something and expect people to like it. In other words... that was not pad kee mao at all. That was salty and overly done pad Thai. Overall, I don't understand what I paid $40 for. The service was not good. The food was not up to par. I paid for everything because I could tell that they were money hungry and my opinion wasn't respected. This is a tourist trap. Oh and also, I watched the old man eat with his hands (as he's at the register handling cash) right out the rice cooker with his bare hand. Idk about y'all but read this before you go. read more

Fast and delicious! After a day of walking all around Amsterdam this was exactly what we needed. I ordered fried tofu in garlic sauce with a side of veggie fried rice. My son ordered chicken in garlic sauce. All I can say is YUM YUM YUM!!! The food was so good. Also reasonably priced. Food in Amsterdam is rather expensive. Two big thumbs up! read more

This is a great, inexpensive Thai restaurant close to the center of Amsterdam. It's about a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal, and though it's near the very heart of the city, isn't too crowded. We went on a Friday night around 6 and had no trouble getting a table, though it filled up soon thereafter. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly, and easily communicated with both Dutch and English-speaking clients. The pad thai was wonderful and came in a generous portion. My partner also liked his sweet and sour pork dish, though we both liked the pad thai most. Tourist trap. We ordered "Tap water" specifically when we asked for water. The waitress asked if we wanted bottled water and we said no we want tap water. And she said "ok, tap water". When we were given the check it has water charge for €4.60 and the and waitress said they don't have tap water. When we tried explain the owner insisted that we should pay since we are busy.
