I firmly believe that God puts people in the right place at the right time. From the beginning of my son's accident to the end. We first met Ken in the cafeteria at Windy Hill Hospital, were my son was taken for rehab. Ken has stood by our side throughout this whole ordeal concerning my son. To check on him as a person, to see how he was doing. He did not send someone else to do the job. That means a lot to you, especially going through events with Chris, it meant a lot to us. If we ever called him, he always called back, himself, He is an honest man with a big heart. When Chris was released from the hospital, there was a 5-K run benefit held for him. Ken ran that 5-K run. I do not know of many people that would do that. Especially your Lawyer. Ken is an honest, dependable (always there when you need him) man. I highly recommend him as a Lawyer, and blessed to know him as a person. By the way, Chris is doing great. He had a Tramatic Brain Injury. Pros: He was able to get me in contact with a good guardian…read moread litem for my custody case. Cons: Did not inform me about developments in the case. Examples: The guardian engaged a psychologist for my alienated children. I found out through the guardian's invoice. I found out that mediation talks were progressing through my invoice. I found out that a second mediation was in the works through an invoice 3 months later, even though another is not required. Mediated agreement was never submitted as an order of the court. When the mother refused to follow the agreement we signed, she could not be held in contempt of court. I had to get a temporary hearing with a new lawyer, where I was finally able to get temporary custody and have this submitted as an order. 5 months of violations were not acted upon, and no longer qualified as an emergency. I had to wait for additional violations to get a temporary hearing. When I changed lawyers, I also discovered that most of the new evidence was never added to my case file. The discovery period expired without filing for records, so the opposing counsel was able to block all attempts to get official school and medical records. There was no movement in this case for months, but once I changed attorneys, I got a lot of traction, was able to get in front of a judge, and gain temporary custody until a final hearing could be set.
