2 years ago I went to Mager Bargains because it was recommended by someone I knew. This person had never bought any products from Mager but I thought it sounded like a good deal and went there because I needed a new refrigerator and needed it today. I wanted a top or bottom fridge but he only had side by side available. Against my better judgment I bought this fridge for 600 bucks. I could have bought a new one for 200 dollars more but I needed a fridge today. The fridge worked fine for a few months but started stopping and starting at different times. I lost a lot of food in my freezer and fridge because this piece of junk wasn't reliable. Of course the 60 day warranty wasn't in effect so I lost my money. Big deal. Almost any appliance will last for 2 or 3 months. A year warranty is usual for many new appliance. I almost laugh that the owner wanted to pray with me and I said yes. I'm not mocking his religion I'm mocking him. I believe in Jesus but I believe we should try to live up to the gospel Paul preached. I did buy a stove from Mager and it's worked quite well for me. But, I just can't recommend his store from my own experiences. At least for fridges. I'd say pay the extra money and buy a new fridge. read more

John was amazing truly blessing from God becauseour stove was horrible and the landlord wanted to just reinstall stuff it was infested with mice feces and had dead mice and a nest. thanks to Him we will have one delivered to us tmr and he called the landlord and even after hearing it was infested just tried to fix it and he said straight up he's done it before it's infested and not okay to use respectable guy kootos to the man God bless you and I hope ur business is blessed aswell. read more

appliances don't even last a month. they all have 60day warranty, but then owner says "not covered under warranty, customer has to pay parts and labor. After several appliance purchases there, and one appliance not even lasting 14days, the other not lasting 30day. took my losses with this guy. Went to B&B in Grangeville instead, they have better appliances & better warranties. read more

When our local repairman said he had 37 calls ahead of us, I called Mager Bargains. Jon and his son Sam showed up few days later! They did a great job on my refrigerator repair! They also sell good used appliances. Give them a call. read more

One star because they don't let you give any less... The owner is a liar, a thief and a cheat. Along with some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. I went to Mager to buy a used washer, which went against my better judgment but my girlfriend said that we couldn't afford a new one. We went to Mager not because it was recommended to use, or we heard good things, but because the place we would have preferred to go to didn't have any washers at the time. We get there and there was no one working but the owner's son, who had no authority to sell anything or make any deals. We had him call his dad into the store for us and it took him about 30 minutes to show up. While we were waiting we had a look around the store. This time was filled with us making fun of all the low quality merchandise that was way overpriced (this should have been our hint to leave, but we were assured by the owner that he had a rebuilt washer that worked perfectly, so we stayed). When he finally showed up I got the feeling that we were wasting his time, he had no interest in taking any time out of his day to help a customer. He took us to another building a block or so away where he had the washer we wanted. It was small but we needed a new one bad. He assured us it worked totally fine and he fixed it to be 100%. For what he told us we were getting, $100 sounded like a steal, so we bought it. He said if there were any issues or if we simply changed our minds he would buy it back at full price within 60 days. And if we wanted to bring it back sometime farther down the road he would give us $50 for the parts. After getting it home we used it and it made a HUGE puddle on the floor (it was from the bottom of the machine because all four sides were bone dry, and it wasn't from any of the connections or the wall). We dried the floor and tried it again the next day. This time it made our entire house smell like burnt rubber, along with the blanket that was in the machine at the time. We unhooked it from the wall and stored it in the garage till we had time to take it back. We then went to a big chain store and bought a brand new washer, which I wanted to do from the beginning. It took about three weeks before I had time to bring it back, but while loading it in my truck I dented one of the sides (no structural damage what so ever, but enough that I'd be happy to get the $50 for it so I wouldn't have to deal with any of the owners BS). Once again the owner was running around and basically ignoring me. He acted like he never sold me the machine or made any such deal and said that there was no way he would pay me any money for it unless it was in like brand new condition (he didn't sell it to us in new working condition!!). He also made a big fuss about it not having any hoses with it, which he did not give us any hoses when we bought it... And our old machine we sold to him DID have hoses (I wasn't about to give the hose I had to go out and buy). After demanding that he buy it back from me he said that if it runs perfectly he would give me $20 for it. I told him about the issues it had, and he simply repeated "if it works I'll give you $20." I was tired of dealing with him so I said fine; he said he'd call me within the next week, so I left my name and number. I never heard back from him (this was over 4 months ago). Not wanting to deal with the MASSIVE headache that comes along with that store I simply gave up on ever getting any of my money back, which I knew he would weasel out of the $20 anyway.... A total waste of $100. read more
